Yes,to everything you've said and don't forget just HOW negative and flip flopping Kerry was tonight too.

"Well now. Such weapons would be used only after a nuclear attack on the US. They are meant to deter by telling Kim Jong Il and the Iranian mullahs that they can't shoot and then hide -- they WILL be incinerated in their bunkers."

Actually, you would use nuke bunker busters preemptively on buried wmd (nuke, bio, and chem).Since these are below-ground detonations, fallout would be minimal or nil, taking them out of the category of being genocidal or environmentally disruptive. In other words, they are defensive pure war weapons which do not affect civilian populations and are therefore "moral" weapons.

Kerry's position on bunker busters is bizarre and he should be hammered over the head with this one. Even if Bush lost the debate (I think draw), this issue was well worth it.

Yeah you're right... it doesn't change the fact that you are a defeatist and have no confidence in our President.

(I don't believe I called you a TROLL... perhaps you need to respond to those who did).

Would you be surprised if I told you that Bush gained a point in the percentage of Voters that said they would vote for him after watching the debate. Before the debate 50%, after the debate 51%?

The President stayed on message. He's not a complicated person. He knows what he believes, he is a person of courage and conviction. I say George W. Bush will win on election day. I really do believe that. He made the points he has always been making. When Kerry said "yes, we have to be steadfast and resolved and I am!" I had to laugh out loud. Most people know those are just words.

Or this....
>>Sorry, Sinkspur, but Kerry confidently referred to knowing the question would be coming up later in the debate.
>Yes, Kerry did say that!< <<

You know, Tonkin, I'm suddenly very interested in your service in 'Nam... I'm sure you're very proud of it... I wonder... what unit were you with, when were you in 'Nam and where did you serve?

1992 was special circumstances, you had discontent at the incumbent due to a recession, a third party candidate who muddied the waters, a president who broke his most famous pledge("read my lips"), and the collapse of the USSR (and the US display of power in the Gulf War) that made people feel invulnerable to foreign powers and think domestic policies are the only things that mattered.

NONE of this applies in 2004.

Especially since kerry said something along the lines of "Well the war needed to happen but Bush went about it too quickly and in the wrong way"

Hey kerry, if you don't do anything nothing gets done and the problem is still there. The most important thing is to do something before it is too late.

Bush was tired and seemed more Presidential to me. I don't expect him to be 'SPA FRESH" a la JFKerry.

I had to work tonight, but was able to listen to most of it on the radio. Sadly, I called my husband several times to ask how the candidates looked because Bush sounded very hesitant, timid and defensive. I realize that everything out of Kerry's mouth was a lie, but the average 'undecided' (that's why thy're still undecided)voter doesn't, and they probably saw an energized Kerry and a tired, defensive Bush and will make their decision accordingly. Yikes! My husband did tape it, so maybe it will be different to see it, but honestly I don't know if I can bring myself to sit through it again. What just happened here tonight? My husband got the feeling that he was so exasperated by the sheer volume of Kerry's lies that each time he answered, he honestly didn't know where to start. Let's hope other's feel the same.

What I understood is Kerry wants us to be pals with Kofi Annan, to get out of Iraq, and to disband the coalition of "the coerced and the bribed." If I missed anything please let me know, for he sure made it clear through all his platudinous rhetoric, exactly where he stood. I don't think its a course Americans want their government to pursue in our foreign policy.

"When Kerry said "yes, we have to be steadfast and resolved and I am!" I had to laugh out loud. Most people know those are just words."

Kerry won't allow himself to be steadfast and resolved until he takes and passes a "Global Test."

Heck, sKerry doesn't even go to the bathroom without first taking a "Global Test" pop quiz!
