They could have simply given any students that did not want to attend the option to stay home and let the rest of the kids go and perform for the President of their country.

Talking about my daughter reminded me of something. Did anyone ask the kids how they felt about this? I'm sure they would have loved doing it. And this woman took that opportunity away from them for her own selfish political reasons.

I think this is a great example of why you should either home school or send your kids to private.
To not play for the President of the United States regardless of party is to say that you don't care about America. You don't respect the institutions, the government, or the people who vote for it. The people who made this decision would have had no problem playing for the last president who lied, sold out our national security to the Chinese, and had fellatio performed on him by an employee young enough to be his daughter.

For some reason this level of disrespect really hacks me off this morning. Even though I am used to the lack of morals from the left.

Woodb01 I think you're right.

Well, I certainly hope the BC campaign issues invitations immediately to all PRIVATE school bands to play. I'll bet they show up en masse. Oooops that's a French phrase. sorry about that. French phrases do not belong in any article about Bush.

Here in Wisconsin, both public and private school bands play regularly for the president when he comes. Last week I heard Catholic HS bands, Lutheran HS bands, and public HS bands. Also 2 professional bands.

An American Indian music teacher from the Racine public schools sang the Star Spangled Banner wearing native Indian garb. Her rich, contralto voice was breathtaking -- best rendition I've ever heard. I told her so afterward, and she wondered why people weren't singing with her! I told her it was because we were hanging on every note and wanted to hear HER sing. She laughed and said she was a little embarrassed and really happy when we finally joined in. I told her that she has lucky students!

You got it! Yet another perfect example of people who run around calling the president a Nazi and a Fascist acting far more the part of the fascist than anyone that they're pointing a finger at.

Main Entry: fas·cism

Pronunciation: 'fa-"shi-z&m also 'fa-"si-

Function: noun

Etymology: Italian fascismo, from fascio bundle, fasces, group, from Latin fascis bundle & fasces fasces

1 often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition

2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control

Last year a girl in Indiana was suspended for a day because she took a day off to sing with her choral group for the President of the United States. People went absolutely ballistic and the school expunged the suspension after getting a lot of bad press.

Makes you wonder what was going on in that school that day that was sooooo much more important than singing for the President -- transgender acceptance day?

Agreed - since when is respect for the Commander in Chief 'divisive?' This only reveals the leanings of the Super's politics.
What's next? Not flying the flag at the school to avoid jingoism? Get a clue.
