I'm a Spartan, so it pains me to say something nice about Bo Schembechler, but this endorsement could help particulary in the Ann Arbor, Detroit area, and Livingston County where those M stickers are everywhere. Coach Schembechler is THE icon at U-M.

It will be very interesting to see the polling from Michigan in about three days. Bo is huge in Michigan. If Bo told folks to sacrifice their first born, a whole lot of Michiganders would grab some kindling and a knife, call the kid and start trudging up the hill...

Bo's words might very well carry a lot of weight with some Ann Arbor residents and UofM fans. I have a liberal aunt and uncle who live in Ann Arbor, buy season tickets and even travel to Wolverine games. They weren't too happy with John Kerry's "go buckeyes" comment. My uncle said it showed that John Kerry was lying about things he doesn't know anything about. I think my aunt and uncle were planning to hold their noses and vote for Kerry but I'm not so sure thats true now.
My uncle in Kalamazoo has allready decided that he's voting for Nader.
