Sir Elton John will reportedly split his £175m fortune between his 10 godchildren when he dies.
Among those who will benefit will be Brooklyn Beckham, son of England soccer captain David and Victoria.
His little brother Romeo is also thought to be one of the ten. Another is actress Elizabeth Hurley's son Damian.
Sean Lennon, son of murdered Beatle John, is also a godson of Sir Elton and may get a share of his fortune, says The Sun.
The 57-year-old superstar, who lives with partner David Furnish, said: "David and I are godfathers to Brooklyn and Damian. I have about ten godchildren. I love kids.
"There was a part of me going, 'Who am I going to leave this to?' It was going to be nobody. We have enough godchildren to leave everything to now.
"They're going to inherit a fair old whack but they play a big part in our lives."
"Sean Lennon, son of murdered Beatle John, is also a godson of Sir Elton and may get a share of his fortune, says The Sun."
I wonder what Julian thinks of that.
Interesting choice of a Godfather. I wonder if the Anglican understanding of a Godfather's responsibilities is any different from a RC understanding.
1. Wonder what the inheritance tax is in England
2. Wonder if "Sir Elton" will use every lawyer, rule and trick to avoid paying it
3. Wonder why the little people don't get the same advantages
>"There was a part of me going, 'Who am I going to leave this to?'<
Gee, how about leaving a little bit to the countless people who have worked for you throughout the years, Elton? Little people, like your housekeepers, or your bookkeepers, for example?
No, leave your fortune to Sean Lennon, who has no money.
What a putz.
The idle rich too often get overlooked when people need worthy individuals to bequeath their fortune to.
I'm sure in the will, Elton is called the fairy godmother!!
Who gets dabs on the jewelry?
How does one apply to become one of his godchildren?
Elton must really want some positive attention after his Emotionally Freakout-Blow-up in Taiwan a few weeks ago.(The media didn't take being called "Vile Pigs" very well) Really now, it doesn't get any more crass than publicly declaring who will be the beneficiaries of your (alleged) fortune. (while you're still alive, no less) Just a friendly reminder, Bernie Taupin wrote every E.J. lyric that you have committed to memory.
Nice, Elton...preach all this charity stuff, make fun of us for not giving...giving...giving...and then give your money to other people's RICH KIDS. Like Becham's kids are going to need YOUR money. GEEZ. You'd think he'd leave it to AIDS Research or something.
No, leave your fortune to Sean Lennon, who has no money.
Hes not giving it all to Sean Lennon.
Hes giving some to the children of David Beckham (among the top three highest earning athletes in the world estimated wealth approaching $1 billion) and his wife (former member of the Spice Girls about 30 million records sold).
He is also giving a chunk to the child of Hollywood actress Elizabeth Hurley (about $10 million a picture) and Steven Bing (inherited $400 million).
So hes spreading it around amongst the needy.
"I love kids".....I bet he does.
He had a powdered wig ball at a rented estate in the South of France a few years back mimicking Louis IV and with all his cakeboy pals and they had adolescent scantily clad adolescent boys as footmen for the festivities.
Sicko.....and a whiner of the first order.
However....the way he spends...they're won't be much left anyhow.
>Just a friendly reminder, Bernie Taupin wrote every E.J. lyric that you have committed to memory.<
He didn't write that pig, "Blue Eyes". Bernie wrote every decent Elton song, and he's no phony like "Sir" Elton is.
XIV
and he's married to a girl from Vicksburg Mississippi....a redeeming quality in my view.
Quick knocking Reggie, you guys....
I just realized that I may, in fact, be one of his "secret" godchildren....yeah, that's the ticket....
I thought EJ was nearing bancruptcy a while back?
I'm baptizing my little boy next month. Is Sir Elton still available for another potential heir to his fortune?
