Documentarian Michael Moore is nosing around Philly, and pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline could be in for a Paxil moment.
Moore, who skewered the Bush administration in Fahrenheit 911, has his production staff doing groundwork for his next project, tentatively titled Sicko, an indictment of the U.S. health-care system. Moore is trying to get workers at the company's Center City headquarters to talk on camera, according to one who was approached. GSK has ordered silence, per long-standing policy.
A GSK official said she was unaware of any contact.
I saw this article in the Philadelphia Inquirer. Please contact me as soon as possible, as I am a former contractor for GlaxoSmithKline and have some dirt to spill on that greedy pharmaceutical giant.
You see, while I was working there, I discovered that GSK has this insidious program to develop vaccines and treatments for third-world diseases and to provide those medicines at prices that underdeveloped countries can afford. Its horrible that GSK is trying to improve the health of third-world nations while charging Americans a higher price for medicines.
I know those countries dont need the help. You, after all, once gave this assessment of government services in Cuba:
The worst that could be said is that, in Cuba , you were in jeopardy of receiving free health care whenever you needed it, an excellent education in one of the few countries that has 100% literacy, and a better chance of your baby brother being born and making it to his first birthday than if he had been born in Washington , D.C.
Shame on GSK for investing money in improving the health of the third world. We need that money spent here, in America, where children are dying like flies.
So please, continue with your documentaries ripping into the conduct of greedy corporations and our government. I hope you get even richer than you already are doing just that. Dont fret about those who decry all the money you have made criticizing the United States as you defend the regime in Cuba, where journalists who criticize the government get jailed instead of getting rich. Im sure those journalists had it coming for hindering the glorious revolution.

dirtboy
Would this be the same Glaxo that has cut off its Serevent Inhaler from needy asthmatics in order to "save the ozone layer"?
I can bet the country Michael Moore will go to to get the best health care he can if he ever gets sick...and it won't be Cuba...
How on EARTH is MICHAEL MOORE an expert on being healthy?
I love it.
Maybe they have discovered an obesity drug and Porky Moore wants to be first in line.
Did you mean "when"? With all that weight there is no doubt that one day he will get sick.
Nah, GSK provides free fountain soda to its employees and Pigboy probably wanted to refill his Big Gulp for free.
You are depraved! And still the quickest wit on this forum.

You cant just toss the leftover cafeteria food in the dumpster. You have to seal it in plastic so it doesnt attract nuisance animals.
We had John F'n Kerry staying at the hotel next to GSK when I was working there. I was tempted to call room service and send him up a nice plate of waffles.
Pretty Good Chance Fat A$$ is going to get rubbed out.
Compliments will get you everywhere...
Badabing, badaboom! Hey! I'll be here all week or until the produce hits the stage, folks! Try the veal......
You give me HUGH laughs.
Guess fatty is upset that Phen-Phen isn't on the market anymore.
LOL IABW
Oh wait...that would require Moore to make an actual documentary!
Maybe we all can pitch in and find him some on the black market or something? Damn the side effects, we should do something charitable for Moore...right? ; )
Will get sick? I think the man has already arrived at that state. And whatever he has must be contagious, because everytime I see him I get sick, too.
