I haveb't read Scarborough's book. It is my understanding that it is an attack on the PC and big-government elements in the GOP. Scarborough is frustrated at the rise in non-discressionary welfare state spending.
I disagree with your point on Scarborough. He was not attacking Bush (he made the point that the Democrats' only criticisms the Dems make about the prescription drug plan is that it didn;t spend enough) but the political elite as a class. Or do you think the spending binge we've been on is a good advertisement for conservatism?
