In one home, a group of American soldiers made a surprising discovery: Yaltchin Kaya, a Turkish truck driver kidnapped about two weeks ago by insurgents. The Americans found him when they snapped the padlock on a stifling room. He had worked for KBR, the American military contractor. "Chalk one up for the good guys," said Specialist Jess Escamillas of the Army.
I think the MSM is just really confused as to how to report this. He was rescued... but he was an Occupier... and it's bad that he was kidnapped and all... but still it shows that Bush is inept and the Iraq war was a foolish misadventure... so it's like, "hmmm, interesting story but we can't really use it, just not sure where it fits". Stories like this put the MSM in a dilemma. I feel sorry for them in fact /sarcasm
Good news does not help Kerry.......
How many more hostages could of been rescued had we pounded Fallujah and Samara in the ground? Hope this is the beginning of a turnaround.
"could of" = "could have"
Apologize for the Arkansan translation.
Maybe this should be added to breaking news.
I'm so frustrated the Italian women hostages got so much coverage, their ransom of a million dollars going a long way to fund roadside bombs and encourage more hostage taking.
While this, gets buried. Maddening.
Great news! Gee, what are he chances CBS will carry this?
Oh, I hope the British hostage is rescued next.
To prevent duplicates, please do not alter the heading. Thanks.
"I felt this deserved it's own post."
Indeed it did. It SHOULD be headline news.
The Mainstream Media is truly, truly, out of control. Over the weekend I was at my mom-in-law's. As always I rushed to read the "Can this Marriage Be Saved?" feature in Ladie's Home Journal. I have read that column for 35 years, at least. It is the longest running women's mag. feature in America, if not the world. What was the "story" this month? "our son may be sent to Iraq and our marriage is falling apart." Talk about your barf alerts. I THINK the stories are real, since they have started to run follow-up articles, but this was such a piece of anti-Bush, anti-WOT propaganda, I couldn't beleive it. I had to read the entire piece over this morning to make sure I wasn't screwy last night, reading it at 1 am.
The parents said all sorts of things about how they supported their son, but not the war, and the son even said that although he had originally supported the war, now he wasn't so sure about how things were being run now. It was such crap. I can't EVER remember them running any other of these stories with such an obvious political streak, ever.
They are really pulling out all the stops, from faking documents on CBS, to slanting sill stories in women's magazines. The long slow decline and fall of the 60s generation isn't going to be fun to watch. Nor will be their sheer hysteria when Bush is re-elected. I hope he wipes up the floor with M. Kerry, whose "friends" are doing him more harm than good, I'm afraid.
I'm sorry if this seems off topic, but I'm just so darn furious about it.
