I was over visiting the Dummies (I took a shower afterwards) the other night and they were buying the paper's sob story about having to close down and a bunch were making pledges of moneyto send to help.
In Leon's defense, he turned down the offers of money from outside interests, and I know that there were some. Apparently, he didn't think it would be ethical. The Peace House is definitely outside money coming in to use Crawford as a staging point for anti-Bush propaganda, but Leon's a local guy who has run papers around here for years. He's Democrat, and always has been, but I don't think it's an outside influence thing.
