Ethics is not an "angle". The ethics of a SLIMEBALL CHEAT is not changed by "who won".

As stated in my earlier and other's postings the Bush campaign has no say in what anti-Kerry people "push". ( Check Swiftvet issue and forged TANG memo history.)

So true. Kerry's obvious cheating is a distinctly separate issue from who won or lost the debate. Cheaters need to be exposed even if they're losers. It just adds insult to injury if through their cheating they beat someone who was on the level.

Even if Kerry cheated, Bush's performance was IMHO a disaster.

"hard work", For peets aske how many months did it take him to memorize that? He let Kerry lie like a rug and failed to call him on almost all of them.

Bush had better be on his game come the next one, His performance didn't show much "I want the Job" to me. If he wants to be President for the next 4 years he'd best start fighting for it. That includes rubbing Kerry's nose in his flip flops, his smears, lies and outright deciet on both His record in the Senate and his activities after he came back from Vietnam. Kerry actually used his anti-war BS to kick the President. Bush just stood there and took it.

I was really disappointed in his resonses to questions and his reactions to Kerry's attacks. It's like he was in a coma or something. I swear I thought I was watching his dad. This is hand to hand combat and someone best inform the President that to the masses Bush got his ass handed to him.

Note to George, You'ld better find your nads between now and the next debate or your gonna loose. Those Independant voters don't like a eunuch and that is what you looked like last week.

Got news for you, what you and I think in imaterial in this election. We decide and cast our ballots. The masses are another thing all together.

Slick Willy was elected and re-elected because a large portion of Amercan women thought he was attractive. JFK was the same.

Kerry is slick. His attack was impressive if one didn't know that he was lieing thru his teeth. But most voters don't investigate enough to find that out. Bush was terrible at pointing it out. He let way to many attacks go without responding.

So being a better debater does make a difference. Bush better bring his A game next time out of the box or he may very well be a one term President.

I do think the cheating/character issue is worth a fight on its own (and not by the Bush camp but by the alternate media). But here's a link to an article from prior to the debate (9/29) by Linda Chavez giving Bush the same advice you suspect Matlin gave him. Chavez says,"the less the president engages in arguing with or directly attacking his opponent, the better off he'll be."

Remember, Chavez was Bush's pick for Labor Secretary before she got knocked out by an illegal alien domestic scandal. She quotes Bush from that time giving her "rope-a-dope" advise for a confirmation hearing. You gotta hope they know the difference between a confirmation hearing and a debate - irrespective of the show your soft side for the women stuff.

Another interesting detail. Kerry Camp says the pen was black but on the video he can be seen using a white pen during the debabe

It is clear to me you have no clue what rhetoric is. But then again the Left Wingers have removed classical education from our public schools because they hate Dead White males who gave us the foundations of Western Civilization and have done such a good job of it that so called conservatives on a conservative web site have no idea they are slamming their own intellectual classical legacy.
