After the election is over is the time to work on immigration through both the Legislature and the courts.

Why do we wait until after another election is over? Shouldn't a candidate put his agenda and platform up front, before any election?

Millions have been pouring over our borders since Bush's Dad was in office. He did nothing. After four years of President Bush being in office, they are now estimating that 3 million a year are now flooding in the country.

That's the equivalent of 3 *major* cities a year of illegal aliens into our country. What could possible be a larger domestic/security issue than this? My friends, this has gone far beyond the need for dishwashers and lawn mowers. This is completely out of control, and tumbling down range.

With upwards of 15 million already in country, and 3 million more a year, do the numbers for the next ten years. It's beyond belief.

Yes they are, but that's not the way it works in the real world.

If there's a squabble about immigration before the election Kerry may get enough votes to win, and then he'd make things worse. The Dems would love to get more Mexicans here to put on the welfare roles, and vote Democratic. Kerry would most likely open the border up more than it is now.

We all know Bush's position on immigration. He has a "thing" going with Mexico's President Fox, and the best way to stop immigration is after the election. Kerry would only make things worse.

No, Joe. That would entail honesty, integrity and courage. The 3 things missing in today's republican leadership. Their mantra is "we will fix it AFTER the election". AFTER you vote us in AGAIN. All their credibility is gone. Like you said--Things have to change NOW.
