remember the scene in one of the Naked Gun 2 1/2 when
Frank Drebin was the guest at a White House dinner
hosted by George H.W. Bush, with Barbara, Sununu, etc.--
(lookalike actors)
and it degenerates into a Three Stooges-inspired mess
where the First Lady is pushed over, attacked by a lobster, etc. (and the Prez doesn't even seem to notice)

and in the same movie, if I remember right, Frank is
seen dining in a restaurant with pictures of Famous
Disaters on the wall. We see:

--The Titanic
--The Hindenburg
--1988 Democratic Nominee Michael Dukakis
:)

I remember Morgan Brittany. She could stop a clock, at least in the '70's. I hope time has been good to her.

As an alternative to voting for a Republican he has given his mom and the rest of the family another way out. Because they don't like Kerry very much, but it would be heresy to vote for Bush, he is urging his relatives to "just leave it blank."

A blank ballot in Florida is a vote for the Democrat, as interpreted by the Florida State Supreme Court.

This is the big fact that the Elites in the lame stream media have missed...everything changed after Sept 11th and then only ones who don't think so are the morons on the left left left

Please don't place ALL folks of that generation in the category of voting for dems and FDR...I come from a long line of GOP voters who are as knee jerk in their vote as some dems are....And one more thing if you haven't learned to honor your parents and respect your elders it is about time you learned....The Greatest Generation is stil just that they are NOT the gimme generation and you need to go to your room and hide under your covers for a long long time. Tell you what I haven't seen any other group of folks do so much fo so many throughout the world and here at home and with no thought of the cost to themselves. Obviously you did not live through either the Dust Bowl or the Great Depression. Perhaps you need to be a bit more humble and quit [ainting with such a broad brush....unless of course you are just a rat in disguise and then you can go vote for Kerry and leave us alone

Not only that, a Jewish person once explained to me that Jews vote for liberals because they think you can placate the lowered classes by innoculating them with money. IOW, Jews are less likely to get busted in the head for their wallet if the dregs of society are receiving cash from the government. That's also why they support abortion according to him. You are "thinning the herd" of the poor.

He was a rabid Republican so that could have tainted his thinking but that was what he heard among his Democrat relatives. I guess that is how Barbara Streisand can live in a gated community to keep commoners at bay while lamenting their plight.

I think a lot of it has to do with older people get their info from the older media.

If you trust the NYT & CBS you are going to vote for Kerry.

If you understand not to trust the OM you are not.

You're talking about all rich liberals. Don't single out Jews.

I was answering the question. He seemed to think it was a "Jewish" thing although he had no real experience with gentiles in his family.

Many rich liberals think they are being noble when they support government programs for the poor.

My mother-in-law, a life long Dem, said to Mrs. steveo last night "I just can't vote for Kerry" but added "I won't vote for Bush either. I guess I'll just skip it."
