The final word, lost to most Freepers sadly, is that nobody cares and they better get their arses in gear and work towards a victory tomorrow, rather than dissect yesterday's loss.

I believe the final conclusion was: A white flag.
The final word appears to be that Fox has shown a still shot from the front of the podium that shows Kerry with a pen; it is unclear how this shot fits in chronologically with the backstage video that shows Kerry removing an object from his pocket.
It was his U.N. talking points.
It was a pen, I saw the video over and over and it was a pen
A pen I guess.
It was a debate tactic, and if found to have pulled out a pen, Kerry would have had a joke or story to explain why. It would have put Kerry in the forefront right at the start of the debate. What would they have done if they found out, disqualify him? Come on people, get back to reality.
Besides, knowing how compulsive Bush (or was that James Baker?) is about following the rules, someone on Kerry's team (or maybe Kerry himself) may have decided to push the rules in hopes of having Bush see this "act" and get distracted by it. Given Bush's performance in the debate, it may have worked.
Everyones saying its a pen. I dont buy it!
A black pen. BUT people say he used a white pen to write with. I think the black pen reflected light and he moved it fast so there was a video artifact giving it a squarish look.
The paper on the podiuim though, I think he may have reached down under the podium and pulled out a piece of paper with his right hand and put it on the desk.
The black pen could have concealed notes of course in a hollow casing. But we will just sound nuts with that one.
It was against the rules for him to bring his own pen on stage. Probably for that reason that people can smuggle in cheat sheets.
Turns out it was a permission slip from Jacques ChIraq
This is exactly what Kerry wants, the attention drawn to him, and most everyone here seems willing to go along with the charade by continualy talking about this. Kerry doesn't have any good ideas (look at what he SAID in the debate), so he needs some other tactic to garner the spotlight. Seems to be working fine if you ask me.
Regardless of whether Kerry did or didn't pull out "something" at the beginning of the debate, President Bush looked tired, confused, irritated, but mostly beatable. Doesn't say much for the President if he can't keep Kerry on the defense. There's certainly enough material on Kerry to keep him backpedeling for years.
It was a pic of Tahreza.
Nekkid.
It was just a little piece of surrender cheese a monkey gave him for good luck...
Look at this, the shadow is his thumb clearly holding a white card....
Brit Hume told us it was a pen, so that's that I guess. The MSM media wouldn't touch it and now Brit has told us Fox will not either.
We all know that it is worse to accuse a Liberal for cheating than it is for the Liberal to cheat.
