Just another day down at the liberal farm this morning at The Today Show and CBS' The Early Show.
Setting up tonight's VP debate, Campbell Brown (daughter of a convicted, corrupt Democrat Louisiana pol) described Edwars as "sunny and upbeat," while labeling Cheney "serious and occasionally dour." Flash to a clip of Cheney looking and sounding particularly 'heavy.'
Harry Smith, over at The Early Show, seems generally to fly under the radar when it comes to spotting liberal media types. But beneath the avuncular mien, he is in fact, he is as liberal, and often as nasty, as any of them.
Interviewing Mary Matalin and Joe Lockhart in the run-up to the VP debate, Matalin said that W has made progress on education.
Smith rudely interrupted, and with a harsh tone, clearly reflecting his own views, stated "but teachers across the country have said he has not delivered on the No Child Left Behind Act." Mary seemed somewhat taken aback by the vigor or Smith's attack.
True and while I won't watch CNN to confirm, I could imagine their spin of brave Robin defeating world dominating super villains (you know like the Joker and Bin Laden) while Darth Vader lurked in the Shadows, manipulated events and did very little of the 'heavy lifting' himself, except for the most vile of acts.
"Please inform about Campbell Brown's father as the corrupt, convicted Louisiana pol - not familiar with that story."
Teachers are disappointed GWB hasn't delivered? My word, someone email them, we are disappointed they haven't delivered. My father kwas educated in a one room school house with one teacher for kids of all different ages. He shared a desk with a kid. The early part of the century. And he got educated.
What is it with these teachers anyway?
Hey, didn't someone post a picture of the Ambiguously Gay Duo from Saturday Night Live a couple of days back to represent the Dem ticket? Hey, maybe the image will stick.
No doubt.
I prefer to think of those two as the Phony Pony versus Big Time. But then I see it somewhat differently than the media, that's for sure.
Coffee + your "tights" post = sticky keyboard. LMAO!
"Shrek vs. Breck"
You're sure right about the "Darth Vader" spin.
How today's AJC describes Cheney and Edwards--
Cheney: Somber, seasoned, Washington insider, Darth Vader of American politics
Edwards: smiling, youthful, savvy litigator, Mr. Sunny Positive
Shrek vs. Breck
Good one! To give Campbell Brown some credit, I think she actually did refer to Edwards at one point as Breck Boy!
Perhaps those teachers should turn a critical eye toward themselves.
This sunny disposition bit is bunk. Name one clip in recent weeks where little Johnny isn't spewing negative, melodramatic cr*p! The MSM knows that America lives in sound bites...so they say what they want people to think, and the sheep oblige them by falling in line. Perhaps ignorance is bliss after all.
NC voters turned out the lights on Edwards some time back. Flash in the pan.
Exactly. And if that weren't totally true, Edwards would be defending his senate seat regardless of the VP bid just like Joe Lieberman did in 2000...
The very least Kerry and Edwards, both wealthy, could do would be to return their illegal Senate salaries for the months/years missed. No work, no pay. They'd never miss the $$$ but the taxpayers would. Who wants candidates who break the law?
Perhaps we should be prepared for Edwards to "channel" a US soldier caught in the cross-fire without body armor.
> I need a cup of coffee.
None for you until you write that opinion column for the local paper. :)
Complete the picture! please?
Please see #19 for my description of Mary's response.
