Hooray! Well said! Cheney will put away the ambulance chaser tonight. Paula Zhan last night said "according to a poll (internet based so it's worthless) only 18% said the VP debate could change thier minds." Bulls$$$! If Dick will hammer the little reptile on Iraq and the lack of policy of his boss, sKerry, he'll leave it open for Bush on Friday. STOP THE HAND WRINGING!!

My feelings exactly. From what I have seen since the debate, there are many on FR with whom I would not want to share a foxhole.

Polls remain unchanged... Bush up by 5 in PEW and WP/ABC

"...the sky is not falling. It seems that Freerepublic is filled these days with whiney little weenies that want to do nothing but complain..."
I agree with you completly. It is time to work that much harder. It is no time to go wobbly and panic.

Damn right, we got Kerry right where we want him. Sticking out that huge arrogant chin so GWB can hit him with an uppercut. We are going to win in Nov, no doubt about it.

Bush did better in his first debate than Reagan did in his first 1984 debate. And we all know what happened in 1984...landslide. You want a good debater, pick Kerry. You want a good President, pick Bush.

Even more whiney are the handful of Border Bigots who are calling for boycotting the election or voting for the Constipation Party or writing in Trancrepo.
To: stevestras; rwfromkansas
As I recall, rwfromkansas was one of the most defeatist voices on the debate night thread. It was pretty sad to watch how unsteadfast some FReepers were.
People can say what they like about the debate but only one line from that night has been repeated again and again - "passing the global test."
It wasn't good for Senator Kerry.

Thank you for posting what has been in my mind for the past couple of days. All this whining blows. Kerry gained very little ground on the debate and the ground he did gain is made of sand. His house is built on sand, quicksand to be exact, and it is still going to crumble to the ground and sink into oblivion.
Even in the extrememly unlikely chance of a Kerry win, whining still blows. Strong people gather themselves together and prepare for the fight ahead. They do not fold over in a self destructive crying fit of defeat.

Bluto' s inspirational speech: "Over? Did you say, 'over?' Nothing is over until WE decide it is! Was over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"
Boone: "Germans?"
Otter: "Forget it. He's rolling."
Seriously, let's work like we are behind by 10 points and are childrens future is in the balance.

Thanks for this thread. Some FR are wetting their pants and it is making some of the threads very tedious. Folks know that GW is not the same kind of person in a debate as Ketchup Boy. That said, GW needs to focus and stay on message. If he does, he will "win" the debate.
With that said, can someone point me to that nice pic I saw on FR that has a flag with the letters "P J"?

Got that right. The chicken littles, are getting like the dums. Feel a drop of rain on their head and start running around announcing the sky is falling. Funny, the American people didn't fall for the gigolo's "PERFORMANCE".

I'll start the list:
Call your local Republican headquarters and volunteer.
Donate money to the RNC.
Take off work on November 2 and offer to drive folks to the polls.
Go door to door stumping for the candidate.
Write letters to the editors of newspapers - discuss why the rich power elite are spending so much money to get rid of the current President and disguising it as grassroots activism. Describe how odd that is. Raise questions on why that is.
Put a sign in your yard.
Get bumper stickers put on your car.

Bush & the GOP has yet to even begin to fire the big guns. Kerry claims to be so strong on the security of our nation, if this is the case why did he miss a majority of the meetings he was supposed to attend?
This is just one of the many weapons yet to be fired.
