I don't know if that is wise. Thursday night's thread was full of trolls, Sleepers and Freepers in near hysteria. If we get a repeat of Thursday night, you'd be better watching the debate Live than following the thread on it.

No, they aren't cancelling each other out. Read them closely, throwing out Newsweak, and you will see that Bush has solidified a 3-6% lead; but, more important, has pretty much sealed up 300 EVs. He's very close to putting this away in the electoral college, regardless of what the MSM says.

Dukakis lost eight points in a week. Kerry lost almost that many during the period just before and after the Republican convention. Dont get over confident. In 2000 Bush almost lost it the last weekend because he didnt fess up to DUI at the beginning of the campaign.

Anyone who believes anything in any Newsweek poll should be taken out and shot because they are simply too stupid to live.

And I bet you are anti-abortion too!

This is significant. While FNC polls used to lean GOP very strongly, now they actually lean left.

The fact that Bush actually gained a point is significant.

Based on all the polls now, more are saying no change, maybe a 1 point bump for Kerry, or even Bush being improved than the ones who say Kerry has gained a lot.

Let's wait until after Friday's debate to see what the next set says. Either way, we should be seeing more polls going Kerry's way if the three showing a big bump for him were not weird exceptions, perhaps based on weighting. But, the polls are not confirming those couple polls (CBS, Newsweek, Gallup). That is good news.

Bush ain't Dukakis.

Remember the playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Houston Oilers, where the Bills came back from something like 26 points down in the 4th quarter?

They got down 14 to the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl and the Cowboys could be heard yelling, "This ain't Houston!"

Francois is toast. The question is how burned he will be.

Your little anti-life comment is a clear giveaway you aren't a conservative.

I agree. We should protect stupid life as well as innocent life in the womb and out...

FOX and RAS have all year been 1-2 points to the left. ARG is about 2-3 points to the left.

Strategic Vision is 1-2 points to the right, and Survey USA is usually 1 point to the right.

Zogby and Harris interactive are non-scientific and cannot be used for anything except kitty litter.

Gallup, WashPost/ABC, Pew, IBD all seem to be right in the middle.

NONE of this takes into account the strong surge for Bush in the states---he has now posted THREE STRAIGHT POLLS in FL where he has been up at least three; and (I think) four straight OH polls outside the MOE. These states are virtually gone for Kerry, as is the election.

Most of the polling news that's come out this week is very good for President Bush...

I heard today that the Weekly Reader poll had it 60 something percent Bush, 30 something percent Kerry. Supposedly the Weekly Reader hasn't ever been wrong. The idea is that kids vote according to what they hear their parents saying in the privacy of their homes.

Think it predicted a win for Bush in 92

I've been converted. Anybody who in any way inconveniences me or is dependent upon me is subject to being offed. I'm making a list.

It seems I recall that, too. Do you remember what it said for Bush/Gore?

Dont worry about putting me on your list. According to Verizon Wireless I just found out Im already dead. They say someone made a claim on my social security death benefit. Fortunately for me, Social Security and the credit reporting company Verizon based their report on both agree Im alive and never died. But I dont need any more agrrivation for a while. Lets hope Cheney creams Edwards.

This column from Jewish World Review talks about the Weekly Reader Poll. Apparently 1992 was the first year they included 1-3 graders. The kids picked Bush. Who knows, though, what kind of voter fraud was going on even back then?

What does this mean?

It means that people understand that Kerry "won" the debate.

They also understand that the terrorists are not interested in debating whether they are going to kill more Americans.

It wasn't even close in 92 so fraud wasn't needed

Perot saw to that

This is nothing new...they've always done this....they did it during the election in 2000 and boy did they ever do it during the Reagan elections....what good did it do...what did it gain them....nothing...one big fat nothing...Repubicans won in the 90's...2000, 2002 and we'll win again in 2004 in a big way. ;o)
