Put Rudy's name in the pot as well. I think he'll play better to conservatives than would seem at first blush (he was mayor of New York after all.

McCain will continue to be the media's darling, but since when does Dan Rather vote in GOP primaries?

You can forget about most conservatives voting for Rudy for president. He is no more moral than Bill Clinton. He can be useful elsewhere.

Rudy will not win in the South or West - he's as anti-gun as the liberals in the Northeast, and that doesn't play very well down here. Let him be the head of Homeland Security in the administration of some genuine conservative.
