The Cuban cigars I've had recently are not as good as a quality Dominican or Honduran smoke.
They are prohibitively expensive too.
I'll stick with my Fuente 8*5*8s and Punch Double Coronas.

I think the superior quality of Cuban cigars is a thing of the past and largely the hype lives on without merit.
There are many Cubans that are very good, but there are also many that don't come close to the quality of some of the better Dominican and Honduran cigars of the past few years.
The competitve advantage Cuba once had is, if not completely gone, pretty close to it.

I once heard Allan King say that Castro destroyed the true quality of the native cigars.

Anything by Arturo Fuente is fabulous. My all-time favorite is the Opus X Double Corona. They're great right out of the box, but they're incredible if you've aged them for a year or two.
