Slick to UN Secretary General? I think that I read on another thread that no citizen of a permanent member of the Security Council (US, Russia, Britain, France & PRC) can become SecGeneral of the UN. It's supposed to be in the UN Charter.

I think it's custom, not written into the Charter. No-one seems able to find it in the Charter.

Running the UN includes renouncing US loyalty. Renouncing citizenship would be a mere formality.
