I wonder how high oil will go before somebody takes an interest in the mountain of anthracite I can see from my window. We live in coal country. My garden soil is full of it, there's black dust in the streets and two rooms full of useless coal in my basement. Can't give it away.
And not far from here, an underground fire fueled by coal has been burning for around 40 years.
It's a shame. I live in the appalachian region of Ohio.
