I think there comes a time when we realize that this is politics AND religion. Agreed. The mistake that Freepers make is not realizing that the people in charge are using Islam to further political goals. It is not the other way around. Not seeing this only gives these people more power. The settlers in the West Bank and Gaza must leave if there is ever to be peace in the area. Sharon is right on target here. Israel needs to hold its nose and do it, even if they think it is wrong. Until this happens, Israel will not get very much sympathy from the Arab world. I am not saying it is right, simply it must be done.

The settlers in the West Bank and Gaza must leave if there is ever to be peace in the area And there was peace in the area when the "settlers" were not in Gaza and the "West Bank"?

You are completely out of your mind. You think giving up some land will make the arabs start to like them?

I got married on october 21 1973 in Jerusalem. My husband almost didn't make it to the wedding as he was a medic in an helicopter on the Sinai front...
We are still at war with these Islam-infested idiots!

Yep. Just like those danged British not realizing that they could have had "peace" if they simply gave Hitler what he wanted. Why can't people ever learn?

Israel does it to survive, not out of delusional ideas of "Peace Now" and Labor party. You are mistaken if you think that Arab world it's some political entity that is capable to have oppinion based unon political developments. It's a bunch of a Dark Ages' tribal societies that won't change their attitude because of Israel's territorial compromises.
