NM has a lot of sunshine and pretty decent weather, with little humidity; however....certain parts of NM (like where I live) are RAT infested. Of course, the bright side to that is we can own lots of guns. We actually have a bounty on RATS where I live. LOL

LOL! Might as well be, the mystique is gone forever.

Where in South Florida? Miami?

Great nickname. In fact the University of Oregon wore football uniforms that looked like giant asparagus during the Joey Harrington years.

Colorado Springs is awesome!

Interesting ... why is everybody moving to Grand Junction? Could it be water ... the Colorado River & Gunnison? Little or no real traffic ... kind of like Colo. Springs & the front range 40 years ago!?

You'd like Virginia. Lots of mountains, streams, valleys, and you can have the beach, marinas and cities anytime you want them.

I agree, Virginia is beautiful, but avoid Northern Virginia (suburban Washington DC) if you want to be around lots of conservatives. We're a rare breed around here (on the other hand, the DC area Freepers are great and have tons of fun!).

Just left Johnson City...difficult to find work. IF you can find a good-paying job, it's a nice area.

Northeast Georgia.

Beautiful and conservative. . .the place I will retire.

How about Rathdrum Idaho!!!!! Or anywhere in Northern Idaho. We have conservative majority. We get alot sunshine, not all the rain you get on the west coast. We are pro gun. And you won't find a prettier place to live. We also have all 4 seasons, but since we are on the west side of the rocky mountains it doesn't get as cold as it does in Montana.

My home happens to be for sale too. :o) You can see pictures of our area etc at the website in my tagline. I'd love to sell to another Freeper!

Dittos on Virginia.

Take it from a Democrat, this is a very conservative place.

Nice people, beautiful landscape, good gun laws (and getting better), taxes aren't too awful and a good economy.

And Best of All for the politically inclined...elections every year!

PA is beautiful, but alas, I must warn you off for now. We have fast eddie, snarlin arlen, and (lord help us) PennDOT. But, we do have Santorum. Steelers look promising this year (as well they better with a shiny new stadium paid for by the taxpayers), but the Pirates suck and it doesn't look like there's going to be an NHL this season. Outside Allegheny County and Philly, the state is mostly republican. Allegheny is known for it's old folks, and believe me, you know when you enter Allegheny. It's either blue haired old ladies, or knuckles on the steering wheel and no head to be seen going 30 in a 50.

On a related note, we do have a kick ass conservative talk show host; Jim Quinn.

Good luck to ya...

"What other parts of TX do you suggest? I prefer to be about an hour away from a major metro area."

North Central Texas. Suggested cities Cedar Hill, Duncanville, De Soto, Lancaster. All about 30 minutes from Downtown Dallas. Very green, lots of trees, lakes, shopping with beautiful housing at good prices.

Wyoming. Just be sure you don't need lots of people around, conservative or not, and that you have a very dry sense of humor.

Move to Penna; we're gradually out-numbering the subhuman, liberal-demokkkRAT filth in Phila and Pitt. Soon, we'll deport them all to NJ-IL-MA-WA-OR-HI-VT-MD-etc.

(;^{}~)

Traverse City, in northern Michigan, but I wasn't serious. It is strongly conservative territory, though, and if anyone FReeps Michael Moore's house, it's only 3 hours away.

South Africa. Cheap labor, somewhat like Belize and Costa Rica.

Very congenial to conservatives. Well, the White part anyway. You may need to stay behind walls at times, but still...very nice place!
