our side is so far behind in trying to mount an effort to combat this - I don't see what can be done in 25 days time.
Allowing groups to sign up massive numbers of voters is so obviously open to fraud that I don't know why it is being allowed at all.
If you want to vote, and you are not already registered, then you ought to have to get your butt down to the approriate place, show some ID, and register, and there should be a deadline that allows ample time for a background check to make sure that you are who you say you are, and that you are eligible to vote.
There is nothing hard or unfair about that. I'm sure that some system which would retain the integrity of registrars unable for medical reasons to make the trip could be accomidated, as this would be such a small number (unregistered and unable). That is something the government could handle.
Furthermore, there is absolutely no excuse for someone who shows up to vote not providing adequate I.D. Yet apparently in many states this is not required. That's ridiculous.
And finally, Florida has had 4 years to get this straightend out, and it looks like they have a worse problem on their hands now then they did in 2000.
And while I lay blame on the government of Florida (and other states) for obviously failing to have fixed the problems, I also lay blame on those who wish to cheat the system. And we know, by and large, who they are, don't we. democRAT scum.
Yeah, sounds like the perfect crime by the dems
