There will be a reckoning someday.

Only if we take our country back. Not only must Bush win, but a small-government conservative must win in 08. If we continue to grow our government, allow our socialist courts to undermine the common-sense provisions of our constitution, and continue to allow our borders to be overrun because it is politically expedient and profitable to corporate donors, we may as well just divvy up the US between Mexico and Canada because our national soul will be lost. Not doom and gloom, just the truth about the seriousness of our decline.

A third party isn't the solution. We need to use the NEW MEDIA to throw out the RINOs and Dems, and get some hard-assed Reagan Republicans in office--people who will prosecute treason, speak the truth, and make hard decisions without caring about liberal spin. It wouldn't even take a majority, as long as they were willing to play hardball. As long as they were prepared to lose their next election, they could get a lot done by speaking the truth and ignoring the liberal spin machine. To a liberal, anything a conservative does is fascist. If we're going to get the label, we may as well stop trying to get along and just get the job done.

I certainly hope our government understands France is not our freind. The way I see it we need to convince Australia, Britain and Poland to spend a little more on their military. Russia, France and China would make a formidable Axis. Well Russia and China would and France has alot of connections to terrorists

Wouldn't it be something if China declared war on France

Why bother. Is there anything in France of any value ? Besides, just bribe them with a few euros and they will do anything you want.

Normandy is already occupied by Americans--unfortunately they were killed protecting France from the Nazis. What fools we were.

Little did we know that our American heroism and idealism would be scorned and rejected by the French as soon as they felt safe again. There is an uncle I never got to know because he was killed in Normandy before I was born. I'm sure many on this forum have similar stories. The French are perfidious and amoral, and in this country we call these people Democrats.

I guess, now that Chirac lost his sugar-daddy, Saddam, he is taking bribes from China.

>>Jacques Chirac says he regards the European arms embargo on China as outdated and wants it lifted as soon as possible.

well Surprise, Surprise....

Chirac has learned how to milk the Chinese cash cow...

Something Slick Willie learned years ago.

Yeah--there has been a revolution in our country since FDR by a handful of committed souls. They never have had popular support, but by using back doors to undermine the strength of our national identity--individual responsibility and risk taking--they have gradually prepared a large number of Americans for a socialist government. So that leaves us where you mentioned in your post--only a handful of us left.

If it was up to me, welfare would end altogether, to be replaced by a single, one-time mass mailing of "Think and Grow Rich" to all citizens. If they refuse to take responsibility for their lives after that, let them live in the squalor they choose.

Does anyone besides me expect Chiac to win the Nobel Peace Prize sometime within the next year?

"French President Jacques Chirac says he regards the European arms embargo on China as outdated"

I guess it's outdated because France is no longer our ally. In which case I'd say France's place in NATO and the UN Security Council is also outdated--as is our tolerance of France's presence in Africa and the Caribbean. For that matter, France is outdated. As is Jacques Chirac.

He's already been in Hanoi, where he declared the war in Iraq was illegal.
