OTTOWA -- A full-length animated film about the early life of the Prophet Muhammad is being released in North America to help fight anti-Muslim prejudice.
Muhammad: The Last Prophet will be screened in 37 cities, including Toronto, London, Ont. and Windsor, Ont., for one week starting Nov. 14.
The screenings coincide with Eid ul-Fitr, the holiday marking the end of the Islamic fast of Ramadan.
Rabiah Ahmed, spokeswoman for the Council on American Islamic Relations, which is sponsoring the screenings, said studies have shown prejudice decreases when people get accurate information about Islam. She said the film is timed so that Muslim families can celebrate Eid with a film, and also to spread awareness about Islam to the non-Muslim community.

Golly gee, Canada... thanks so much.
Why not play all the decapitation videos so people know what Islam is truly about. Islam is a death cult. Wake up America!

studies have shown prejudice decreases when people get accurate information about Islam. Right. The person's attitude goes from ignorant prejudice to informed vigilance.

When does it cover the Quran's support for murder, oppression, discrimination, slavery, and terrorism?
When Camel used a cartoon character to promote teen smoking the libs were up in arms. Where are they now?

Should this film be released in the Middle East to help combat the religious intolerence there?
Oh, sorry, the moslems over there would kill you for it, wouldn't they?

How nice. I love how the little children will shout for joy when the main character decapitates Fuzzy the Bunny for being a heretic.
To: 4.1O dana super trac pak
This is hillarious. Isn't it blasphemy to depict Mohammed? I wonder if the film makers know what they're getting into?

The problem is, we don't need to be educated about Islam... We're NOT the problem here...
If they want to make a film, they need to aim it at Islamic fundamentalists to teach them why barbarism is not a part of their religion....

I like the lesson Muhammad teaches children about listening intently during classes at madrassa...the visual of the little ears being cut off with the cleric-teacher's scissors should really get the children prepared for life...

Will this be shown to our children in grade school?
No wait it can't because our schools are not allowed to mention God's name.
I bet we will see many instances of this being shown to 8 to 12 year olds in our schools!

Actually, in the more strict interpretations of whatever he said, you can't do representational art at all. Jazzy patterns, but no paintings or sculptures. Practically all of the "high Islamic" art (Alhambra, Taj Mahal, etc.) adheres to this principle.

I think I've already seen this movie.
Popeye the sailor man takes on Ali Baba, played by Bluto and his forty thieves. This cartoon features the classic tank roll in the desert and Wimpy even gets a few lines.
My favorite scene happens when the waiter folds the menu, written in Arabic, to reveal "Bacon and Eggs - 45 cents".
AND, you know, until 911, that was all I knew about these freaks and on 911, I learned all I will ever need to know about these vile creatures.
