How did Round Two play in Okoboji? Undecided voters get more questions than answers

I sat down with a group of five uncommitted Iowa voters to watch the second presidential debate with them and get their reactions.

The views of people in Okoboji and the rest of Iowa matter this year more than ever. That’s because Iowa is one of the most hotly contested states this year, a state that Al Gore carried by only 4,144 votes.

Although Dickinson County, where Okoboji sits, nestled up in northwest Iowa near the Minnesota border, is Republican turf (Bush carried it with 52 percent four years ago), if Kerry can glean a few dozen extra votes from such Republican ground, he could carry the state.

Likewise, if Bush can squeeze his margin from 52 percent to 55 percent in a GOP-leaning county, he could grab Iowa’s seven electoral votes.

Lawyer Steve Avery, who voted for Bush four years ago, said he was concerned by what Bush had to say in Friday’s event about stem cell research, the right to life, and litigation reform

“I think I disagree with the things he was saying. The stem cell research and right to life tie together. Litigation — I’m a trial lawyer and he was using it as a gross generalization. I think it’s misleading to the American public...

What the hell is wrong with these people???!

Don't they know about the Oil for Security Council votes scam?
Don't they know that France/Germany/Russia are NOT allies of the U.S.?

Jezzzus! Getting the U.N. to help us fight terror is like getting Don Corleone to help us fight the Mafia.

Did you catch Kerry's answer from that woman on whether he would federally fund abortions. What the hell was he talking about, does anybody know? It was the perfect example of Kerry's trying to play both sides of an issue.

I loved Bush's reponse, NO! When you to answer a simple YES or NO question without a yes or no, and regurgitate some rambling BS, you're done!

That's where Kerry showed his TRUE self! If I was a fence sitter that answer would have done Kerry in for me.

Take a good, long look at the above photo.

That is none other than Steve Avery, Esquire.

Mr. "All American" lawyer is an "undecided voter.

My question is a rather simple one ...

Who the Hell took the bar exam for this moron!

Yes, I thought he was pretty clear and reflected the majority opinion of Americans who would rather not ban abortions, but use influence and education to prevent unwanted pregnancies, and provide options other than abortion for a crisis pregnancy. That all options, including abortion, should be open to poor woman, even if that means federal funding.

Blah, Blah, Blah, B.S! and you know it! So, what was his answer, Yes or No? Is he going to take my tax dollars and give it to woman who are selfish sluts who accept no accountability, or take NO responsibility for their actions?

Don't even think about bringing up rape or incest because we all know that's a red herring!

No sir, or mam, I do not know that it is BS.

So, what was his answer, Yes or No? Is he going to take my tax dollars and give it to woman who are selfish sluts who accept no accountability, or take NO responsibility for their actions?

The answer is yes.

Are you willing to take responsibility for being part of the solution or do you just wish to see laws passed, pat yourself on the back, and proclaim your work done? Are you willing to work with young people? (Though with your attitude, that might not be a good idea.) To provide support or a place to live for pregnant a woman? Pay her medical expenses? Because like it or not, those "selfish sluts who accept no accountability, or take NO responsibility for their actions" (BTW, these selfish sluts do not get pregnant by themselves) to which you refer are carrying babies in their wombs and you can not punish the "mother" with out impacting the baby who's life you care so much about. How pro-life are you?

Don't even think about bringing up rape or incest because we all know that's a red herring!

Not to women who have been there.

Look, you and I have a difference of opinion on this it appears. There is only one RESPONSIBLE way to take care of this. Make the mother and father responsible for the life of the child, and end abortion for all, except in the case of rape, incest, or the life of the mother.

That's the solution. It amazes me that people can be so selfish as to commit an act inwhich they know the consequences will not have to be considered. There is a huge problem in this society with that thinking. When you do not value life, it is not going to be worth living. If you think it is right for a responsible person in this country to have to pay for someone else's deliberate selfish act, you should go right over to the liberal/socialist wing of the totalitarian party.

You say it is better for me to become "part of a solution" Alright, my "solution" is to vote for canidates who understand abortion is murder and to call out those that parse thier veiws so no one knows what they really believe.

I consider perverted SELFISHNESS to be the number one reason for the morale decline in this country and abortion contributes to that delima.
