I agree Cricket24. I've turned off the TV completely for anything to do with politics. Fox is trying so hard to overcome their conservative label they may as well be any of the other three.

Now that's a very good point. I never thought of that, and you're right. The whole "you buncha hicks don't look rich to me" approach. Of course, one look at Teresa (hair, clothes, attitude, word choice) and you can certainly say that it's hard to determine net worth by external indicators....

I noticed a lot of weird facial expressions in the audience.

I had the impression some in the audience were shocked by the reality of the situation. They came to watch a sporting event and suddenly they see the future of the country hanging in the balance.

I thought everyone looked pissed. Even if you are concerned and trying to look like you are paying close attention you dont have the angry look all those folks did.
But you are right about her. She really looked mad. I didnt notice any difference though when kerry was lieing.

Hi, Baynative:

Well, since Tar-Ayyyy-Zah thinks that all men are really little boys allllll stretched out. No matter their age. Maybe she didn't want Johnnie-boi fondling Momma T.

They're nothing but Holograms, anyway. No substance at all.

Jack.

Kerry stated that Bush and Cheney could be considered small business given their personal incomes, like a small timber company (example).

Bush got up shaking his head with a grin and stated "that's news to me". Than the President (with a smile on his face) leaned over and looked at the someone in the crowd, and asked in a soft voice: "need some wood?". The crowd laughed heartily.

it was hilarious.

Do you think the memo Charlie Gibson's boss at ABC put out could have influenced the questions? Do you think Bush knew about the memo and that is why he jumped at Gibson? He wanted to get his side out.

An undecided voter is a Liberal without the guts to admit it publicly.

Yes. What WAS that all about? Kerry called Bush a tree farmer who made $84??

His "need some wood" response was quite Reaganesque to me. He might just as well have said, "now there you go again."

I was laughing too hysterically to remember Kerry's original statement.

Good debating tactic, but a cheap shot nonetheless.

Would you expect anything less, from these trolls?

Which one are you talking about? I noticed the wispy blonde who asked the abortion question would not shake Bush's hand, but eagerly shook Kerry's. Curious--because I thought her question favored Bush.

She did shake his hand! I just watched the end of the debate, the repeat, and she was the 2nd person to shake his hand, after what looked like her mother who was sitting next to her.

In fact, the young blond woman stood up to shake his hand, very politely, and smiled nicely again when he walked by her.

Maybe you just saw the 2nd time he was walking by her, she didn't reach out to shake his hand a 2nd time. But she was very polite and very pleasant to him.

Thanks, eagle eye! I only saw the one "exchange" and thought it odd. IMO, that was the one question that caused Kerry to look like a phony, selfish idiot who'd do anything for a vote, as long as it didn't make the abortionists unhappy.

Ha! Someone else once called me "eagle eye" but I've always thought I was pretty unobservant.

Anyway, didn't want you to get the wrong idea about that young woman, she seemed to be quite friendly to the President!

You pegged Kerry to a t. He will do anything for a vote, won't he?
