Nearly all of the polling was done BEFORE the debate.

A pre-debate bounce for Bush? Oh yeah, baby. Can you say 5 to 6 point lead for Bush by Monday? Sweet.

That makes it even better. Let's face it...Bush didn't have a good news week. The Dulfuer (sp??) Report, jobs report, his performance in the first debate...I think he goes up from here. John Kerry may play well in Concord or on the Cape...he doesn't play well in mainstream America!! They don't LIKE HIM!!!

We'll find out if Bush's emphasis on ideology helped his campaign or not. It may help by stabilizing his unalienated base, but it would also brass plate the ABB crowd. Maybe he is willing to take the spread at this point.

Nearly all of the polling was done BEFORE the debate.

Then the headline needs to be changed to "Cheney bounce." The Bush bounce will soon follow.

That's what I was thinking. This would probably be the bounce from the VP debate.

In that case, it is a CHENEY bounce.

More should be made of the fact that VP Cheney is far more qualified to be 1 heartbeat away from the presidency.

Likewise, Pres. Bush had, imo, a slight win yesterday evening. The polls are calling it a tie. I convinced it is a slight win for Bush, though, when folks reflect on what was said. (There were times when Kerry VISIBLY was shaking...and his voice quivering....he was either on his heels or upset.)

more than 95% of the interviews for today's update were completed before the conclusion of last night's Presidential debate.

These numbers are pre-debate. WOW!!

Sorry, I was wrong and you were right. This does NOT include a Bush bounce from last night's debate, This is the number PRE_debate which makes Bush's excellent performance last night that much better.
