Psalm 5: 11-12
But let all who take refuge in You be glad;
let them ever sing for joy,
Spread Your protection over them,
that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You.
For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous;
You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.
With grateful and humble hearts we come before You this day to praise Your Holy Name for the wonderful way You answered our prayers last night for our President. Father, we know You made straight Your way before our President, for You provided him with a safe refuge and deliverance. You granted him clarity of mind and purpose; You gave him the courage to stand strong and tall. With Your sword of truth he was able to dash the lies that were levied against him. For You, our God are a sun and shield for him. You bestow favor and honor upon him. No good thing do You withhold from him, for he seeks to walk blameless before You.
Father, may Your blessings be upon all who lift up our President in prayer. Reward these cherished children of Yours, Lord, and let their hearts be filled with joy. Spread Your protection over them and over our President, that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You. For surely, O Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Father, whether we prayed before the debate or even during the debate, we are grateful for the peace that passed over us as we received the joy of the Spirit within us. O Lord, how wonderful it is to know that even as we pray for our President and our nation, You are blessing us and teaching us as we spend time on our knees in communion and fellowship with You. May Your Holy Name be praised.
O Merciful God, increase in us the passion for prayer that we need in order to defeat the evil in this nation. You have given us the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy, Lord; yet how seldom we use that ability granted us when we accepted Christ as our Savior. Our communion with You is the greatest source of power in the universe, and we ask You Father, to keep us in a spirit of prayer so that the forces of evil may be defeated. Help us Lord, so that we do not grow weary, for You have fully equipped us with Your Word and Your righteousness. O Lord, let us never have to contemplate what could have been if only we had prayed. Instead, let us approach the gates of heaven with Your Word---asking, seeking, knocking and believing. Great God, may Your passion for righteousness rise up within us. May the power and authority of Your Word become our weapon. And may we pray with burning desire for Godly leadership in this nation and for revival of unprecedented proportion.
O Precious Lord, You are the God who set the heavens in order, Who fashioned the mountains and hills, Who opened the Red Sea. Nothing is too difficult for You. Keep us zealous for Your Will in Iraq, that the people there would be eternally blessed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Open the doors, Lord, for the sake of those whose eyes have been blinded. Use our prayers, Father. Make our hearts burn with desire to see Your goodness, and make our prayers so fervent and impassioned, that they bring down from heaven Your mighty and awesome blessings. And in everything we do, in word and deed, may it be done for Your glory. We pray all this in the Name of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
I pray for G.W. Bush everyday and will continue until election day and than after.

We are studying the book of Joshua in Bible study. God is speaking to Joshua as he readies the Israelites to cross the River Jordan back into the Promised Land. God warns of the struggles ahead and specifically adresses the fact that the Jews will have to fight for their land. (So much about not using force). God tells Joshua, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)
I take great comfort from these words. I truly believe that GWB is a prayerful, faithful man. President Bush, like Joshua, is neither terrified nor discouraged. Nor will I.

And God.....please continue to protect our President, keeping him safe and out of harm's way, and protect him from the evil of Satan's lies and tricks.
We praise Your word, Father. You have given us your love and promises, to use as our armor, against Satan. You have instructed us in HOW to combat evil.
Eph 6:12 [AMP} For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
Eph 6:13 Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
Eph 6:15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
Eph 6:16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
Eph 6:18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God's consecrated people).
Father, We put on the belt of TRUTH, breastplate of RIGHT STANDING with God, shoes of PEACE, shield of FAITH, helmet of SALVATION, and the Sword of the Spirit, the WORD OF GOD in asking that you continue to protect our President against whatever evil Satan throws against him.
Father, we rely on You only, knowing that You bring righteousness against the wicked, and hope and joy to those who are anxious and worried. We lean on You, and trust in You, leaning not on our own understanding, but in all our ways, we acknowledge You, knowing You will make our paths straight. (from Prov: 3:5-7).
Please, dear Lord, buoy up all those who pray for President Bush. Help us to continue our vigilance on his behalf. Keep us strong.
We ask that Your will be done, in Christ's name, Amen.

Our prayers have been answered SO many times about our President........and last night......WOW!!! I was grinning from ear to ear in thanksgiving and praise!
We MUST continue to hold him up in prayer, as well as our military and our nation!

I too pray for the President daily. I was at the White House two weeks ago, as my brother is on the Presidents staff. Did you know that there are four bible studies a week at the WH? The day I was there Steven Curtis Chapman was leading praise and worship, and the week before Rick Warren (Purpose Drive Life) was there. Is it any wonder that the enemy does not want this man as our president. We must not grow weary and faint but remain ferverent in our prayers to all mighty God. This is more than an election..this is a spiritual battle.
What joy He brings us, ohio! Of His fullness we have received, and grace upon grace. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer.
