I live in Utah. I may send you folks a check, however. My plan is to fly to Reno the weekend before election day to volunteer in Nevada. Or Vegas. Depends on airfare.

Heh, you can't do that. It wouldn't be fair. Political correctness demands that you will have to offer to pay to fly one liberal nutcase along with since it wouldn't be right to disenfranchise him because he is too poor. It wouldn't be seeeeeeeennsittive not to.

"I just read at another forum it was Kerry 270 and Bush 248." (no, it wasn't DU, I don't go slumming)

Last night I watched the Beltway Boys and they showed an electoral college map that had Bush at over 300 and Kerry at 200+ I do not remember the exact figures, but Bush was projected way ahead. On Hardball's horserace site they have it as Bush 217 and Kerry at 200 so far.

Indeed. Bush will win Ohio this year by a wider margin than he did in 20000---and it really wasn't all that close then.

Not enough. From the regional numbers in OH I'm hearing, they could vote dead people all day and it isn't gonna change anything.

No, stay in Pennsylvania and win that state. We will win OH without any outside help.

You can pop-up the other counts I have:

Gallup Showdown State Polling: Bush 312 Kerry 207 (I think this is too optimistic right now)

Rasmussen Electoral Tracking: Bush 240 Kerry 169 - but if you go to the Rassmussen HomePage you will see that they have Bush ahead in Colorado (9 EV) by 4, Ohio (20 EV) by 1, Wisconsin (10 EV by 3), which would add 39 and put Bush at 279. You might also note they do not rate Florida a "toss-up" but have it in the Bush column.

The CNN Survey has it Bush 301 Kerry 237

The only major battleground state poll that is projecting Kerry leading right now is the Zogby Battleground Poll has it at Kerry 322 Bush 216, but Zogby also states that so many states are "razor-thin" for Kerry that it cannot be counted upon. In his analysis at that page he puts the "sure" electoral vote count at Bush 189 Kerry 172.

I would point out that if Bush wins every state he won in 2000, but loses New Hampshire and New Mexico, a 269 tie would result. This thing is not over yet. Your $, votes and campaign help on the ground are needed to put President Bush over the top. Remember, the Dumocrats will stop at nothing to buy votes all over the country, including with hard cash.

That brings up some scary possibilities.
Like the Muslims, instead of trying something major, pull an Iraq on election day and blow up a bunch of small polling places. Or the day before, blow up small town RR stations, police stations, and schools.
What would the American electorate do then? Vote against the incumbent as in Spain, or get their backs up and tell the terrorists to go to Hades by voting in large numbers for Bush?
Do the terrorists really care? Today I saw an article showing that American Muslims are shifting their votes to Kerry in droves (you know, because Bush hasn't protected their civil rights by paying as much attention to Norwegians and Danes as they do to Muslim-Arab males in their 20's or 30's), and it's pretty clear that Kerry's policies will be more suitable to the terrorists, but I saw another article that said the terrorists want Bush in office because his policies make it easier to recruit more terrorists.
I think I'll vote for the guy who will kill the most terrorists regardless of what these human manure piles do.

A terrorist attack works in Bush's favor, no matter how you cut it.
