CHANHASSEN, Minnesota -- Bush campaign aides are laughing off widespread Internet suggestions that President Bush was wired during his first debate with John Kerry, to get help from advisers.
A photo taken during the September 30th event appears to show a small, boxy shape between the president's shoulder blades.
Musings on various Web sites suggest it could have been a radio receiver so the president's aides could feed him answers during the debate.
Spokesman Scott Stanzel calls the idea "ridiculous," and adds, "Some people have been spending too many hours looking at left-wing conspiracy Web sites."
He adds, "Did you hear the one about Elvis moderating the third debate?"

Bush was wearing a bulletproof vest. sKerry pulls out either a cheat sheet or a PDA, and the media dutifully does his bidding and says it was a pen. And I'm mainly pissed at Fox News for going over to the left on this one.

Actually, it may have merely been a flak jacket, which he and all presidents since Reagan's shooting have worn at public events.

And you read this where? You shouldn't comment on a story until you know the facts. The facts are NOT as you state them.

We may as well come out and admit it people. It was the transmitter for the remote-control, Stepford-Prez unit directly wired into his central nervous system...

Without a doubt, Fox has become questionable. As for the President being wired, I find such accusations amusing and it shows how desperate the left has truly become after all of their feeble attempts to destroy this president.

Per NY Times, White House denies Bush was wearing body armor. Anyone care to address?

Hey, Wagglebee - Just wondering if you can answer a question for me. I notice you put a small s in front of Kerry, as in sKerry. This seems to be a common practice, and even though I've been a Freeper for a long time and know most of the inside jokes, I guess I missed what that small s meant. I've chosen you to enlighten me:) Can you help? Thanks!

If Bush was wired, he wouldn't need some big, bulky pack that would be visible under a suit jacket.
It's 2004, after all.

The MSM spends two weeks excoriating the credibility of bloggers, then joyously promotes tin foil hat theories from Rat conspiracy blogs.
Go figger.

Bush is required by the Secret Service and against his will to wear a vest in any setting that brings in contact with the public.
It has been that way since 9/11 and has been on every news station and mag I can think of...

The wiring at the first debate didn't work, so they switched to a unit for the second debate that would impart an intense electronic shock to the sensitives in the event of a smirk. Proof? It worked!
To: All
Does anyone really need any more proof that Bush won the second debate?
The arrogance of Kerry supporters is made more evident in this charge than anything they have put forth so far in this campaign. They are such complete victims of their ideological bias that they cannot comprehend the possibility that President Bush may be better in a debate than their guy.
If you would like to read an interesting comment on this you can go to the
Toronto Star Article on this topic and read the following quote:
"
. . . Bush's aides said the suit was well-tailored and did not have a roll in back. One official, in a cheeky reference to a discredited story about Bush's National Guard record, suggested checking with document experts at CBS News to see if the photo had been doctored. . . ."
Somebody better call Dan Rather quick! They can still make the Sunday evening broadcast with this story!

By law, the Secret Service operates outside of politics. It is routine to not comment on or give "misinformation" on such issues. I saw what appeared to be bulging in the back of his jacket. I may be wrong, but I have heard many reports that Bush almost always wears body armor.

By the way everyone, and Tom Clancy fanatics will know this, the Secret Service requires that all White House staff refrain from divulging any security measures the President may take, which includes the wearing of bulletproof vests and/or flak jackets, so don't believe anything you read.
