Plummer wore his number on his helmet. When the League banned further tributes like this after week 2 (only exception was the Arizona Cardinals), Plummer asked if he could continue to wear the number since they were teammates, and the League responded by letting him know that he would face a fine if he did so.
IMO Plummer just made the NFL look sad and pathetic.

IMO, college football on Saturdays makes the NFL look sad and pathetic on Sundays.
