SOME diaries are better off remaining private.
That's especially true of "Diary of a Political Tourist," a valueless vanity project premiering tonight on HBO... Think of the dullest videotaped chronicle of a friend's lengthy vacation that you've ever been subjected to, and then multiply it several-fold and you get an idea of the fortitude it will require for you to sit through this portrait of Kerry...
Meanwhile, "Frontline" is much less torturous, but ultimately frustrating... the biographical sketches contain nothing new, although they are notable for the blatant way they canonize John Kerry and demonize George Bush.
Kerry the Good is depicted as a brilliant, earnest public servant who did his duty in Vietnam and then came out of the war on the right side of that issue against it.
And Bush the Evil comes across as a ne'er-do-well, good-time Charlie turned religious zealot who would never have been elected Texas governor and then president without resorting to dirty tricks...

what happened to the Sopranos on HBO this year??
Well when the Producer of the piece (Polosi's daughter),says she had a better time on the bush campaign you know it's GOT to be BOOOOORRRRING.
The mainstream media, now neutered by the internet, talk radio and Fox News is apparently now seen by the left as ineffectual.
Fahrenheit 911 simply HAD to be made, as the lies can no longer be purveyed by the discredited old media. The problem for the lefties is this: DOCUMENTARIES are uniquely suited to the distortion of truth, and people instinctively recognize this fact. For years, the mainstreamers got away without the customers feeling the need for corroboration, now the honeymoon is over.
With documentaries, it is the MEDIUM which requires corroboration, IMHO it will not have the power to persuade.
Sopranos won't be back on until 2006.
oh really...how come???
They are in jail
HBO== Homo Broadcasting Office? Every time I used to switch them on it was some other gay show. Finally got rid of it.
I don't think HBO pays them very well, compared to movie salaries.
