Inasmuch as Bill Clinton is considered by some members of the African-American community to be "the first black president" because of their perception of his positions with regard to minority issues, That is NOT why he is considered the first black president. Toni Morrison dubbed him the first black president because of his troubles with the law and habitual extra-marital affairs.

Actually, Buchanan was the first gay president. That was a cheap shot at a conservative patriot. Perhaps he is a non-conforming conservative, or a guy that refuses to follow the party line right or wrong. Pat deserves more respect than calling him a gay.
