Well, that does look weird. I'll give the conspiracy nuts that much.

It looks like there is a wire going up the right side of his shoulder. These are the first debates I've really watched - are the not supposed to wear earpieces?

You think everyone in that room wasn't thoroughly checked for explosives and weapons. I can understand at thw 2001 WS in Yankee Stadium, but that would seem overkill in this setting.

Does anyone know if Whiplash was referring to playing football in HS or college? I ask because he never played football in college.
There was an AP article back in July that included info on Edwards being a walk-on at Clemson for one year. It included a quote from a player who was on the team with Edwards as well as a photo of Edwards in his uniform. When he didn't get a football scholarship, he transferred to NC State because he couldn't afford to stay at Clemson.

I dont recall President Bush and VP Dan Qualye treating slickwillie and algore with utter contempt even though they had many chances at it. And correct me if I am wrong but I think Bob Dole and Jack Kemp treated slick and gore with respect

John & john have shown no respect at all for the P and VP. Calling them names is childesh and is just more proof that kerry is a elitish snob and edwards is a ambulance chaser. They are both despicable human beings and I pray that Nov. spells the end of their carreers and they fade into nothing.

On one occasion, President Bush (41) referred to Klinton & Gore as "bozos" in front of a large crowd. He apologized the next day.

I had the unfortunate experience of shaking Edwards' slimey hand on Monday in Des Moines, Iowa.

I remember hearing that, too, but this colleague said he heard pundits talking today that said neither coaches or other players ever remember him being on the team.

I don't know and, frankly, don't care, as his candy-arse would have probably been pounded had he ever seen the field anyway, but I just thought it was curious. Besides that, to mock Bush for being a cheerleader, when Bush has documented proof he played rugby (see picture), arguably tougher than football in some ways, is laughable. The male cheerleaders I knew in college were getting to hang out with the best looking girls and more than one was known to have been quite active in the bedroom with the female cheerleaders, even though it was frowned upon. Consequently, NONE of them were gay.

Thanks for the reply.

So how tall would you say Edwards is? About 5'6"?

Did anyone see Letterman last night? They had a game called "Guess the Bulge," inspired by the President's mysterious bulge under his jacket. Rupert Gee had something hidden under his jacket, and someone had to guess what the bulge was. It was a T-bone steak. It was pretty funny!
