The Unofficial Pre Pre-Debate Thread

Posted on 10/13/2004 4:10:17 PM PDT by rocklobster11

Here it is. I'm watching Hardball at the moment. Nicolle Devenish is doing a good job speaking for Bush, as always

Perhaps Bush will be less on the attack in an effort to attract women voters. All the men will be watching baseball, so he might think this is a good strategy. But I think he needs to attack like crazy. The media will make no efforts to let Kerry's pitiful records get out in the public, so the debate is the best chance to hammer the message home. Plus, women like strong men.

Oh sorry, I thought she wanted a thread link not a specific prayer. I agree that one you just posted in 63 is very good.

Please cajungirl, go to a prayer thread and spend a few minutes there. It will comfort you and give you courage.

Lord Jesus, I want our president--the man that I absolutely believe You have reserved for this moment in time--to win this debate and to win this election. Watch over him tonight. Be his sword and his shield. Amen, in Jesus' Name.

Hang in there. I know it was hard after the first debate.
In the end the debates won't matter. What matters is a man who means what he says and says what he means.
We can trust GW to do the right thing.

I like the Gammage Hall originally being designed for Baghdad vibe going on.

What's amazing is that the networks, especially NBC..royally screwed up the 2000 election with the bad exit polls, and calling the states early, and wrong, and here, 4 years later, MSNBC is hyping thier internet poll after the debate, which is worthless..

Greater Houston area

Winter can last form Dec to March - fair amount of rain - occasionaly cold enough to dip into the low 30's at night - still some nice sunny days for outdoors

By late March everything blooms with "spring" lasting into late May

Typically by mid-June thru Sept/-midOctober the summer season is hot with a heat index of 95% to 105%

the good news is that everthing is air conditioned

FOX started turning Left in the summer, so it isn't indicative of any heads up of info on their part now.

You need to detach yourself from the ebb and flow of emotions that make themselves known at the end of a campaign. It's natural but can be a weakness.

No ordinary human has ever known the future so it is pointless to look to anyone for a sign. Just focus on winning. Events will play out beyond anyone's ability to know in advance.

I think I will just stick with FR thread and not watch

I made that mistake with the first debate. I have been on FR for about two years and have never read such a depressing pathetic thread.

It was filled with newbies, trolls and plants. It was a coordinated effort to demoralize and persuade.

The second debate I watched the whole debate instead of following it on-line. I can trust my own impressions. It was worth the torture of sitting through Kerry to see for myself what was going on.

THE words to look for if you're watching the debate and having a shot everytime sKerry says something is "I have a plan." You'll be in the hospital by the 2nd half hour.
