Bush leads Democratic Senator John Kerry 73 percent to 18 percent in the voluntary survey of 4,165 active-duty, National Guard, and reserve subscribers

Would somebody explain to me why this isn't the subject of a major ad campaign by the Bushies?

There was a Kerry campaign spokesman on the NBC morning program that claimed that Kerry was polling at 40% of the military. There guys ae accustomed to the manipulated polls of the MSM.

55% 'chasim' is great, but you sure have to wonder who would vote for a guy that sought to deny them body armour and enehanced armour for the humvees and other supplies in Iraq.

Think we'll see this in the MSM, not likely. I can just picture this in the headline of the New York Times (not!).
God Bless our veterans and current servicemen, they are the ones who have given us the freedom to do these posts; not the elected officials.

The only reason I can think of is that it isn't considered a 'scientific' poll by the 'experts' who bless polls. It would be attacked that way and Kerry's people would produce another 'unscientific' poll showing the opposite.

Can't, it could be construed, by the DUmmies, as being ordered. It isn't of course, but you don't want to even have the suggestion of it.

The Military Men and Women will do what they can on their own and out of uniform.

THAT is why the military overseas in many states will never be allowed to vote - Arkansas INCLUDED!

I'm surprised that even 18% of the military is supporting slick Kerry and falling for his falsehoods.

well, if military votes aren't counted - its our side's fault. we have had plenty of time to get this overseas military ballot system right, we knew from 2000 that the Dems would engage in any practice to disenfranchise their votes.

Does this chart give you an idea. It's not a racist statement to point out that 95% of blacks are a Democrat voting block.

this is why, if Kerry should win, I hope alot of military people decide not to re-enlist. If Kerry wins, the american people (the majority of them, albeit a slim majority) will have shown themselves to not be worthy of these brave people fighting and dying for our nation.

Let Kerry institute a draft, or get some NYU students to enlist.

President Bush is a class act and a true Commander in Chief. He will never use his troops as an election tool, regardless of how helpful it would be to his campaign. Kerry, on the other hand, is an opportunist who (in my opinion) would jump on this in a second if it favored him.

Yes, I know. Even so, you have to wonder what would make a man vote for a person who would sell him out, and cause him to go into harms way without backup in the form of supplies and armour.

I realize how the ethnic votes break down. It still baffles me.

In my experience they aren't even aware of what they are voting for aside from the D beside the name.

Jesse Jackson didn't tell them. Mfume didn't tell them. And Kerry sure as hell didn't tell them. They havn't listened to a single word Pres. Bush has said and they mostly swallow the tripe about "selected not elected".

Boiled down to the short answer, misinformed and apathetic (toward a different view/opinion) to boot.

It is truly sad what the democrat party has done to blacks and hispanics. Playing themselves off as leaders of the civil rights movement, they have enslaved these two segments of our society as surely as if they were the slavemasters of the 15th through 17th centuries. They extended to them a pittance instead of the birthright they deserved. The welfare nanny state has been a tragic misdirection, and the ultimate failure of failures.
