I am shocked, shocked I say that politicians are behaving like politicians.
DeLay is certainly not doing anything differently from every other politician from either side of the aisle.
OTOH, as Dad always used to say, God helps those who help themselves, but God help you if you get caught helping yourself.
It's the veil of collegial civility that used to be present that now appears to be totally lost between the 2 parties. Sad. For that (and I know most here will disagree), I hold both parties responsible.

The Washington Hill has become a picture like Chicago during the Al Capone days. It is tragic for the country -- they have lost the entire purpose why they are there. They have forgotten about: "A GOVERNMENT FOR THE PEOPLE..."
I agree, and it's dangerous.
Smash mouth politics is fine, but it inevitably leads to real smashed mouths. Look at the recent violence against Republican campaign offices... For years, we've heard the Dems and their willing allies in the media speak the worst of Republicans. They have sown the wind with their slanderous lies, and we are now reaping the whirlwind.
