When a "conservative" organization resorts to using the work of Bill Gale and Bruce Bartlett as the academic basis of their NRST hit piece, they immediately lose my attention.
Gale's and Bartlett's bias against the NRST is well known -- both have intentionally inflated their projections and "fears" while dismissing pro-NRST arguments as "fanciful" based on their own love of the Marxist progressive income tax system.
HST, the authors idea to just eliminate the income tax and the IRS and replace them with nothing has the life span of the proverbial snowball in hell.
I expect that AFFT will rebut this article relatively soon.
