Hummmm? He didn't marry his 1st heiress until 1970 --- they Honeymooned in Paris visiting the Viet Cong as I recall.

I think it means those items are his "lucky charms" now, notwithstanding the quote is accompanied by a photo from 1969. I doubt anyone was interviewing him in 1969 about those types of things.
