I wrote the Oklahoman this morning when I found out about these ads and asked which Clintonite was behind them. Also told the people of Oklahoma to wake-up and realize that Carson is a moderate to liberal (depending on the issue) in conservative clothing.

Carson like Kerry cannot run on his record here. Barry Switzer calling Carson a conservative is a bad joke. BTW, as I posted on another thread Barry Switzer, Toby Keith, head of Sonic, and some others are throwing a fundraiser for Estelle Cash, the lesbian opponent of my State Rep Thad Balkman who is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, pro-lower taxes, and an all around great guy. Switzer wouldn't know what a conservative was if you hit him in the head! But then he liked Bill Clinton so what does that tell you?

My mini rant!

Anyone endorsed by Switzer is someone I would vote against.

To paraphrase Rush, the most dangerous place to be in Oklahoma these days is anywhere between Barry Switzer and a TV camera.

Sadly, for the second time in recorded history a former Oklahoma football coach has become publicly active in politics. The first time was when Bud Wilkinson, who was a gentleman and a saint, began endorsing Republican candidates back in the mid-60's.

Now we have Barry, who is capable of being a decent guy, lining up with a twit like Carson. He's really letting his disreputable side show, except in a different way from his younger days.

I'm a registered Democrat but I agree with everything people are saying about Carson. HOWEVER... you are waayyyy off the mark regarding Estelle Cash. Where did you ever get the idea she is a lesbian??? I heard it had been said but discounted it as a rumor. Pretty strong words from the camp of a man that likes to wear pink shirts! I wish I had seen this site earlier so that I could have set some people straight. I have known Estelle longer than your PhiKap has been alive. She is one of the most moral people I know and will vote her conscience. There is already a law on the books identifying marriage as between one man and one woman. All the proposed law does is make it a misdemeanor for someone to issue a marriage license to two same-sex partners. As far as I'm concerned it isn't enough and they should have even bothered cluttering up the ballot with it. She is pro-life. So am I. While I do not approve of abortion and it was never an option for me I cannot say that it may not be the right choice for someone else, maybe your own daughter. Would you rather have it performed in a sterile clinic or in her dorm room? I know for a fact that his campaign people removed literature from my door that one of her people had just put there because he was caught wadding it up. You may say that Thad wasn't the guilty party but if he keeps company or employs that type of person I don't want anything to do with him. These are two people running for a chance to REPRESENT you. Thad Balkman does not represent ME. Before you slam Toby Keith you should have taken the time to find out why he supports Estelle Cash. Thad Balkman does not represent HIM either. They are neighbors but Mr. Balkman won't even talk to him regarding the issues. Toby Keith is not only a country singer, he is a horseman as well. Get your facts before you go off half-cocked. Uninformed people like you who are willing to believe everything you hear without questioning will leave us stuck with a lying hypocrit for a few more years. Maybe next election you will think twice.
