If the line above that was posted was true, wouldn't this be a foreign government investing in our elections?

Isn't that a Federal offense?
Wouldn't it be illegal to take the money?

And don't forget, Jimmy Carter gave them US currency printing presses which they then used to print US currency. From the words of a regular Iranian citizen regarding opportunity, "the Mullahs lick the plate very clean, whatever bits of food that's left is for the people".
