What, she only lived to be 94? Obviously your mother died an early death from alcoholism! Must not have been a smoker though, my father smoked for over sixty years and definitely was an alcoholic, the poor man only lived to be one month short of 82, early death is so tragic.
My mother at 84 has many health issues. She asked her 94 year old sister how she got around so well. My aunt replied "I have a vodka tonic every night at bedtime!"
Reminds me of the old George Burns joke. When he was in his 90s someone asked him, "you smoke cigars, run around with young women, and drink hard liquor at your age? What does your Doctor say about this?" George's response "I don't know, my doctor died five years ago"
