Police in Pewaukee are searching for answers about four men reportedly seen videotaping the headquarters of the American Transmission Co.
As WISN 12 News exclusively reported Wednesday night, workers said they spotted the men shortly after two transmission towers collapsed in Oak Creek Saturday.
That sighting led to near panic inside a nearby We Energies call center in the city of Pewaukee, which was on lockdown because of the tower collapse.
"We all stayed and stood our ground. And, ah, we thought we were, we may not make it out of there alive," the worker said.
The witnesses said they saw three or four men they described as Middle Eastern looking videotaping the building and the surrounding area.
"One would hope that if these people were out there for something legitimate, that they come forward and help put this to rest. But I don't know if it's correlated to what occurred in Oak Creek," City of Pewaukee Police Department Chief Gary Bach said.
Police sent several officers and a canine unit to the area where the men were last seen, but found nothing.
The police reports were forwarded to the FBI, Oak Creek police and the Department of Homeland Security.
Meanwhile, the on-site investigation in Oak Creek has wrapped up.
Oak Creek Police Chief Tom Bauer said they and the FBI collected 250 pieces of potential evidence, and they've received many tips from the public, which are being investigated.
Both Bauer and the FBI said thus far, they're not aware of any connection between the tower collapse and the suspicious men in the city of Pewaukee.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the FBI at (414) 291-4322.
Normal people don't worry about this problem but cheap and sleazy chechens would love to make trouble.

> ... workers said they spotted the men ...
How about a rough description?
Such as apparent ethnic persuasion.
Dress? Headgear?
If they could be indentified as "men", someone
had to be close enough to have other detail to report.
Somehow, I suspect if this was a bunch of good'ol
white boys, we'd have been told.
Thanks a_d
Too much of this happening lately. I'm wondering why we have reports of these creeps doing surveillance but can't catch them???

Thanks for the ping, Race. I wonder how often this sort of thing has gone on and we haven't been told about it?
City of Pewaukee - A group of men reportedly emerged from a wooded area laughing and filmed themselves outside a transmission company less than an hour after the company's electrical towers were found collapsed in Oak Creek, City of Pewaukee police said Thursday.

An officer responded to a report of suspicious people at American Transmission Co. after two employees of that company and a security officer at We Energies in Pewaukee told police they saw the men shooting video and taking pictures outside the transmission company, according to a police report.
Police said they haven't found the men since they were reported outside the company, so they were unable to prove that any criminal activity occurred or draw any correlation between the two incidents.
"We took the call serious. We did a thorough follow-up investigation," Pewaukee Police Chief Gary Bach said. "Needless to say, it resulted in nothing found in wrongdoing, other than trespassing."
The witnesses provided a vague description of the men whom they described as Middle Eastern in appearance. The American Transmission employees and the security officer also described the men as dark-skinned and in their 30s and 40s.
The security officer said the men were wearing clothes for casual business with earth-tone colors. He described seeing a type of polo shirt with slacks. One of the men was wearing a pink shirt or sweater, he told police.
Ziad Hamdan, religious director of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee, said until the identities of the four men are known and authorities prove whether they have anything wrong, the report of seeing them outside the company won't carry any weight.
"We have to be careful rushing to judge people," Hamdan said.
Unfortunately, blame for crimes sometimes quickly goes to Middle Easterners, Hamdan said.
He pointed to the days after the Oklahoma City bombing, when people suspected Middle Eastern people of committing the attack.
In the end, however, "it was proved it was a white American that did this," Hamdan said, speaking of Timothy McVeigh.
According to the Pewaukee police report:
A systems operator for American Transmission called police shortly before 6:21 p.m. Saturday after he and another operator who was en route to the Oak Creek scene spotted the men in front of the facility off of Highway J.
Earlier, about 6:10 p.m., the security officer at We Energies was passing by the company and also saw the men, filming with cameras.
Police called on the Waukesha County sheriff's canine unit to check the wooded area from where the men first appeared, but nothing was found.
Police also notified Oak Creek police and the FBI.
The downed towers were found around 5:40 p.m. They left Mitchell International Airport and 17,000 homes without power after they brought down wires that fell across railroad tracks.
Oak Creek Police Chief Thomas Bauer said Thursday that it's difficult to assess what the men were doing.
"It's still America. People are interested in looking at railroads and power companies. They just do it because they're curious," he said. (emphasis added)

Thanks for the detail.
My concern is that this was just a practice run.
It will be hard to hold an election with the lights out.
I share your concern, Boundless. This has all the trappings of a practice run, testing the response to an act like this.
Bullet holes in a plane. I heard about that. Wonder if it was from the outside going in or the inside going out.
There is no way in today's environment you could ever get me on a commercial aircraft. Not just the threat of terrorism, but I don't know who worked on the plane or what condition the pilot is in.

Hear that Senator Dayton?
"Somehow, I suspect if this was a bunch of good'ol
white boys, we'd have been told."
It would be trumpeted from the rooftops. It would be broadcast on the MSM for weeks and special commissions would be set up in Washington.

Of course Jayna Davis proved beyond any doubt in "The Third Terrorist" that there were eight Iraqi soldiers who participated in the bombing along with the two Lilly Whites. There, of course, have been many postings explaining the ties. It's an ugly part of American History that hasn't YET made the History Books.
So who else thinks that these "men" are going to "come forward" and talk to the authorities about their presence and what they were filming?
NOT!!!!! This response from the Milwaukee area people in charge is just plain juvenile.
Thanks for the ping. Much appreciated.
