All voting is absentee? I didn't know that. So, does that make for a better or worse turn out. Just curious.

I watched a C-SPAN Catholic University group of "undecided" students discussing the debates. The last debate convinced 5 people to go toward Bush and 1 to go to Kerry. Being that the Catholic vote is split right now (why..I don't know) that means that more undecideds are moving toward the Bush column. 5 - 1 is a LOT.

Yeah the ballot are mailed today according to this source:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archive/2004/10/13/politics1242EDT0537.DTL

"While other states pursue high-tech voting machines in hopes of avoiding a repeat of the Florida fiasco of 2000, Oregon proudly continues with its uniquely low-tech system of voting by mail.

Oregon abolished polling-place elections in 1998. The result is that Election Day 2004 in Oregon will actually be a 19-day affair that begins Friday with 2 million ballots being sent to the homes of registered voters. "
