I noticed the same hypocrisy within 30 seconds in the debate ! I was just incredulous that Kerry has such chutzpah!

This "I respect your beliefs" is a common approach of ultraliberals who disagree with you. They don't really respect your views; they just want you to like them even though you disagree with them. It's a psychological trick.
