Search uncovers Bush Guard records

WASHINGTON - Weeks after Texas National Guard officials signed an oath swearing they had turned over all of President Bush's military records, independent examiners found more than two dozen pages of previously unreleased documents about Bush.

The two retired Army lawyers went through Texas files under an agreement between the Texas Guard and The Associated Press, which sued to gain access to the files. The 31 pages of documents turned over to AP on Thursday include orders for high-altitude training in 1972, less than three months before Bush abruptly quit flying as a fighter pilot.

The discovery is the latest in a series of embarrassments for Pentagon and Texas National Guard officials who have repeatedly said they found and released all of Bush's Vietnam-era military files, only to belatedly discover more records. Those discoveries — nearly 100 pages, including Bush's pay records and flight logs — have been the result of freedom of information lawsuits filed in federal and Texas courts by AP.

A Texas National Guard spokesman defended the continuing discoveries, saying Guard officials didn't find all of Bush's records because they are disorganized and in poor shape.

"These boxes are full of dirt and rat (excrement) and dead bugs," said Lt. Col. John Stanford. "It's a tough task to go through archives that were not set up in a way that you could easily go through them."

Two Texas officials had signed sworn affidavits insisting they reviewed the files and released copies of all that related to Bush's 1968-73 Guard service, however.

The newly released documents include a January 1972 order for Bush to attend "physiological training" at Laredo Air Force Base in Texas. His Texas payroll and attendance records, released earlier, show Bush was credited for active duty training for the three days involved.

The bias is getting ridiculous now.

They are cutting their own throats, the MSM is becomming insignificant, their ratings are in the toilet & soon NO one except the RATS will even turn on their TV for news!

They need to wake up & realize that places like FR are the future & they are soon to be the dinasours of their industry!

No- they really do think we're all that stupid.

Americans are pretty forgiving people .. but one thing they don't like is being played for a fool

These so-called reporters are destroying what little trust people had in them .. all in an attempt to gain power

It will backfire on them

Was wondering if they were as concerned with digging out Kerry's records! He won't release them? What? And the media isn't demanding he do so? :-)

RUN!!!! HUNTA VIRUS!!!!!!!!

CDC - Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS)

Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) is a deadly disease transmitted by infected rodents through urine, droppings, or saliva. Humans can contract the disease when they breathe in aerosolized virus. HPS was first recognized in 1993 and has since been identified throughout the United States. Although rare, HPS is potentially deadly. Rodent control in and around the home remains the primary strategy for preventing hantavirus infection.

Bush's world within reach***Especially troubling about the national Democratic Party that emerges in the new century is that it has become a national scold without any coherent vision or message.

Say what you will about George W. Bush - and a range of embittered Democrats deeply despise him - he does have a vision.

He laid out a domestic agenda with unmistakable clarity in his speech to the GOP convention, just as he laid out a worldview in his remarks at the United Nations. It's optimistic, premised on the belief that we are a decent people who can adapt to changed circumstance and alter, without destroying, our institutions.

Bush's domestic agenda, like his vision of a world where the rule of law prevails, where property rights are protected, where free speech, equal justice and religious tolerance are honored, is based on the idea that, with greater responsibility and self-reliance, we can enjoy expanded freedoms.

The premise of '60s radicalism, with its assault on institutions and its personal liberty without responsibility, was that individuals ought to be free to behave as they choose. It meant, for example, that free-spirited adults could have children without the constraints of marriage, because government would provide, and would pick up the pieces of damaged lives………***

Military record keeping has always left something to be desired.

A few years ago I sent for information to the AF. Their reply was that they had nothing to indicate that I was ever in the AF.

So much for the military "hiding" anyones records.

Do you think the headlines will say that the MSM sued, scratched and clawed with PI's to get themselves any dirt on Bush? Naw. More likely they'll read the documents were "uncovered" or "found" like no out of bounds wrangling occurred.

Once again the MSM has all but x-rayed ever drop of ink and every scrap of paper over Bush's Service (The Strategic Air Defense Mission that kept the Soviet Union from launching a preemptive Nuclear strike against our homeland)yet have not ask one single question about sKerry;s records. And all we want is just the few short months during Vietnam and his REAL discharge paper (I bet they can get that all into one little box).

There are charges by 200+swift boat vets that could be dis-proven (according to Herman Munster, I mean Kerry) by signing the form so that the media will have the proof they need to once and for all shut up that pesky O’Neil and his Band of over 200 witnesses. Surely that would be such an easily task to do in comparison to routing around a box full of rat poop to find out if Bush had cavities or not.

But Hell no...they will find something they don’t want to see in John's box (like a dishonorable discharge, then restored to honorable by Jimmy the Peanut). Or that he was stripped of his top secrete clearance to the point that they couldn't trust him with the time of day
.
For Christ sake, we are asking for a quick scan of Kerry's records as apposed to spending 6 years of licking every little scrap in hopes of just finding a little taste of Bush doing something that was just maybe, possible wrong even if it is too vague to even support the most mildest of allegations.

We even promise (although with us this promise is completely unnecessary, we’re Republicans for Christ sake) that if we find nothing wrong in his records we wont even type up new ones to be passed off as originals.

So we promise not to do anything even remotely like what the Left has done to Bush’s records to Wiener boy’s records…I mean flip flop…I mean Kerry’s records, we promise just to read them, make a few copies of the important parts and then return them without adding anything to them or ask any stupid questions about dental appointments, or if he was AWOL on his days off.

Just sign the form, give us a few minutes to read them and as I am sure you believe you will be proven to be the hero (*cough *cough) that you claim to be and we can put all this swift boat mess behind us all and move on.
If, however, you refuse to sign such form, as a citizen of this great country of ours, I, and I am sure many more just like me, demand that you return our Presidents records to the TEXANG and move on. At this point we are not demanding an apology as of yet however, we do demand that as citizens of this country that you stop trampling on the Man who holds this great office and treat him with the respect that he has earned himself and the respect that we as Americans demand of the world for the Great office of Presidency no matter who occupies the chair in the Oval Office.

And one other thing, on your way out, if you should happen to have any scrap of American Pride left in you pathetic little liberal bodies, you should show a little bit of gratitude for having your assess still in one piece and not glowing when the light are out, to the Officers and Airman of The Strategic Air Defense Command for the heroic job they have done in preserving this great nation of ours and winning the cold war against a very powerful State whose sole purpose in life was to find a way to kill every single one of us.

And if you can’t find it in yourself to be grateful to these fine Heroes then again as a citizen of this great Nation I ask you to just walk quickly by and just SHUT THE F*CK UP so that our President can get back to his job of protecting me, my family and people like me and their families , and yes, even your sorry asses and your families from the new group of people whose soul purpose in life is to kill every single one of us.
Have a nice weekend!
Signed,
A Proud American Citizen..

Did it ever occur to the MSM that the only reason there are new docs to be discovered is that the President signed his 180 months ago? Where is Lurch's 180? Biased bast-rds!

Do these so-called reporters realize just how much damage they are doing to themselves???

Do they care? Heck no, they are being paid well! Trust me on this one!

EXACTLY! Why would they? I can't count the number of stories posted to FR that come directly or indirectly from AP. They're always being cited, here.

Their attitude surely must be - hey, you don't like it? Where else you gonna go for the news? Suckers!
