Heinz Kerry made $5.1m (Combined annual income $20 million)

....Heinz Kerry reported almost no ordinary wages last year. Her self-employment pay and a pension payment of $35,448 total less than $60,000, the return shows.

"She's got less than $60,000 subject to the rates normal people pay," said Joseph B. Darby III, a partner in the tax practice at the Boston law firm Greenberg Traurig, who reviewed the tax return yesterday.

Darby said Heinz Kerry's taxes reflected a common investment approach for wealthy people. Her assets are roughly split between low-yielding, tax-free bonds and dividend-paying stocks.

Heinz Kerry gained most of her fortune in an inheritance from her former husband, the late Senator H. John Heinz III of Pennsylvania, an heir to the HJ Heinz Co. founders.

The Center for Public Integrity, which tracks the candidates' finances, estimates Kerry and Heinz Kerry's combined annual income to be at least $20 million, based on Kerry's annual financial disclosure report. But the report provides broad ranges of income values, rather than specific figures. Heinz company stock is the largest single generator of income in the combined Kerry-Heinz Kerry disclosure, and the largest single asset...

It was a political decision. I can't remember where I read it, but she publically admitted that she started using Heinz-Kerry when John the gigolo started running for President. They didn't think the little people would understand their marriage. LOL.

What I want to know is what state did Therazzza claim as residency? According to her 1040 it was prepared in PA. Makes me wonder if she used PA as her Residency, since a copy of her MA Tax Forms are not on the Kerry website. Not to mention the I believe the tax rate is lower in PA. Or did she claim MA this year and in past years Claim PA.

The New York Times reported that Ms. Heinz listed her Pennsylvania estate as her address on her federal tax returns.

There is a hint as to which address Teresa Heinz filed her 2003 tax return. Although redacted, if the jpg is blown up, the zip code area reveals a "5" in it (look at the end of the "city, town, post office, state, zip" line on the first page of her 1040).

There are very few zip codes in Boston with a "5" in them, particularly in the second digit of the 5-digit zip code.

However, ALL of the Pittsburgh codes have a "5" in the second digit.

From the zip code reference website:

Wonder what's in the part she didn't release.

Everything you need to know about why John Kerry is a hypocrite because his tax hikes on the so-called wealthy won't affect the super-rich like his wife, just people who actually work for a living. And a how-to manual on how the super-rich minimize their taxes by using (probably legal) loopholes.
