According to the Internet Movie Database, Stolen Valor is only 43 minutes, and FahrenHYPE is 80 minutes. (Those two together total 2 hours, 3 minutes.)

I don't know the title of the movie Sockmonkey's working on, can we find out the running time? Maybe move the start time back to 2:00 or 2:30? TXBubba, could y'all make 2:30?

This is the first I've heard about a possible 4th movie available, what is it? I concur that we're not going to have time for four (But how nice to have so many films out that we all want to watch!). Stolen Valor is obviously the highlight and the main feature--seems like we need to pick the other(s) according to how hard it/they are to see anyplace else? Once we confirm titles and runtimes of what we are choosing from, it should be clearer what we're going to have time to play.

Even if we only have time for two movies, this is gonna be great to be able to watch with fellow FReepers! Looking forward to seeing everyone, and as always, HUGH thanks to Basil for her hospitality!

Didn't someone mention they were bringing a video about Sadam and WMD's? I also have "Faith in the Whiteouse" which is wonderful, but we will obviously have to save that one for another time.

It would sure be helpful if we could close shop by 10 PM. I love you guys lots, but I have to get up early and get busy every day!

What are the running times on these movies?

I have no idea of the running time on Weapon of Mass Destruction: The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein.

It was supposed to arrive yesterday in the mail, but didn't so hopefully it will tomorrow. And hopefully it will work out so that the UTSA folks can view it, then you guys.

(Hi, TheSarce, long time-no see)

Duhh, trying to post and pack for a trip at the same time... have to issue a clarification, LOL.

Even though I repeatedly referred to the movie as "Stolen Valor," I did have the time right! Stolen Honor is 43 minutes.

I agree we'll probably only have time for two unless a third is pretty short. I just think we need to know what our choices are for the second feature before we finalize the lineup and start promising specific titles in addition to Stolen Honor. It seems Sockmonkey is already going to some lengths to try to get us the Saddam one, we need to see if that's going to work out (and how long it is) before we start promising other titles. I'm dying to see HYPE, but if DrewsDad has already been arranging this other one...

Oh my, that was the other one! Does it say how long it is?

I'm sure once we get the info on the Saddam film this will all get a lot clearer. (And basil, you simply must toss us out long before 10, we can't impose on you THAT late!)

Thanks for the title, can't find a running time either on imdb or the producer's website. Would you check when you get it and let us know?

(Hi back P, I was gonna send you a FReepmail saying the exact same thing: Long time no see! Are you going to join us? We'd love to see you again.)

As Secretary of H.O.T. (a lousy one) I know I should be there but I have got to walk my neighborhood.

Bush will carry Texas but we have great local republicans running and they need my help.

Sorry I want to be there!!!! but I can't. Sorry!!!!!!

Yes, I think the two is a good idea. Sounds like we are going to have a big crowd. That is why I suggested showing them and then trading them. That way folks will have good seating at both and get to see both. And a third one if there is time. Wow, basil, you are being generous. I think we can get this all done from 3:00 to 10:00. Surely we can get through these in a 7 hour timeframe. If not, we need to tape our mouths shut. LOL What do you think Sarce? Keep the starting time at 3?

LOL! Don't make any promises about "good seating". We'll do the best we can, but depending on how many show up, we may be using the floor for seating!

I'm really getting pumped about this. We're going to be having our very own private film festival!

I meant that with two rooms there would be more floor to sit on! LOL. Maybe we will throw in some extra pillows with the munchies.

"Bush will carry Texas but we have great local republicans running and they need my help."

Hey!
How about making that,

"Bush will carry Texas AND we have great local republicans running and they need help."???

Dubya needs every vote he can get in Texas!
We need him to win the popular vote by a big margin, as well as the Electoral College vote.

I just heard that Sinclair TV stations had to cancel their showing of Stolen Honor, due to a lawsuit!

Will that bring us some more customers--LOL!

BTW, did I forget to mention that I also have "The Seige or Western Civilization".

Maybe we will need to have another "film festival" evening!

I just thought of something, DrewsDad--this will be sort of like singing to our own choir. Maybe we should we make the price of admission that you have to bring a lib with you---LOL!

I voted today! This is my vanity post. Decided I didn't want to stand in line with a 2 1/2 newly potty trained little girl on election day. I'm expecting a big turnout. The room was full (with 15 to 20 "booths") for the early voting today and people were coming in as I was leaving.

Just reading all these threads about the time issue. How about if I send out another e-mail and let people known we're moving it to 2:00 PM but they can come whenever they wish. Then we'll be out of there early enough for Basil.

Why didn't someone let me know?

Why don't we check with basil before moving the time up? It is her house and I think it would be rude to just assume we can show up whenever we want.

Thanks, TXBubba! Actually, I prefer to keep the starting time at 3 PM. What a mess this has turned into--LOL! Whatever--I'll handle it as it happens.

BTW, does anyone have a count of how many members of TownHall are coming?
