But is Senator John F. Kerry, the Democratic challenger, who is locked in dead heat in the latest poll of the White House campaign any better?
"...To date, his public record on the Middle East is not very comforting; although optimists usually assume that any change has to be for the better.
As a matter of fact, listening to knowledgeable supporters of Kerry, one cannot but feel a little hopeful."
"Disengagement... Kerry, who has supported the roadmap, has this week complained about the Bush administration's disengagement from the Mideast peace process.
The one change that he revealed would be to name a top-level envoy to re-start the Arab-Israeli process, something akin to what President Bill Clinton did in naming Dennis Ross. This is probably a first step but where will it take us is anybody's guess.
Kerry has not been willing to share his ideas with the public and it is unlikely that he would before November 2.
It's too risky at this moment to reveal all the cards, considering the influence and power of various interest groups that support the Bush line."

Best route to take if you're planning on reporting Kerry's Middle East Plans, lest you find yourself entangled in yet another "Kerry flip flop"!
Here this news media outlet has to quote Madeleine Albright, not only to cite her oh so "important opinion", but to try to get the "latest scoop" on John Kerry's plan.
Why not ask a guy who would really know. Martin Indyk (Kerry's Middle East advisor and former U.S. ambassador to Israel who got his "Security Clearance" yanked by Clinton while he was ambassador) who had been running around the Middle East last month putting out "feelers" and perhaps making promises to Arab nations just in case his new boss becomes president.
And why not look at a particular piece of Kerry's press:

"A Jewish convert and adviser to his brother, Cameron Kerry was sent as a "surrogate" to reassure Israelis that the Democratic candidate was as strong a supporter as Bush, a source who helped arrange the trip said.
Kerry, who described his four-day trip as a "personal visit," met Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and opposition leader Shimon Peres in Jerusalem on Wednesday.
"My brother has been here many times and told me of his trips and has a very deep, personal connection to Israel," Kerry told reporters in Jerusalem. "I finally had the opportunity to make a visit and I jumped at the chance."
He also planned to tour Israel's controversial West Bank barrier, which the World Court declared illegal in a non-binding decision last week.
While campaigning for his party's nomination, Kerry angered Israel supporters last October when he told an Arab-American group the vast array of walls and fences being built through occupied land was a "barrier to peace".
Kerry's campaign has since taken pains to stress his pro-Israel voting record in the Senate, and Israeli government analysts have concluded there is nothing to fear if he is elected to the White House. But some Sharon aides worry that a change of U.S. administrations could jeopardize unprecedented commitments that Bush gave the prime minister in April to allow Israel to keep some West Bank land captured in the 1967 Middle East war.
"There are concerns in the government that Kerry won't be as pro-Israel as Bush has been," a Sharon confidant said.
Sharon had cited a scheduling conflict for his failure to meet the Democratic candidate while visiting Washington in April. Mindful of maintaining good relations with Bush, Sharon kept a low profile for his brief meeting with Kerry's brother."
Any closer to knowing Kerry's Middle East Plans? Maybe it's because he doesn't have any!
Other than his policy to completely SCREW every taxpayer in this country and to subject every member of our armed forces to U.N. authority, I'd say ALL of his policies on EVERYTHING else are a total mystery.
Most everything about sKerry is unknown because the MSM will not look closely, they'd rather have a "pig in a poke" than Bush.
If sKerry were to win(and he won't) the MSM could certainly have "egg on their faces" for not having asked the simplest of questions of their darling, pre-election.
These people are LIARS and DECEIVERS and so are their supporters.
All of Kerry's policies are unknown if one goes by what he says. His actions in his life say something else entirely.
