And he starts out his little hit piece with "We're all God's children, Bob." Given what he said subsequently, wasn't he clearly implying that there are those out there who wouldn't think Mary Cheney was one of God's children. So he has to smugly, preachily remind those people that indeed we are all God's children.

The smug superiority involved in that little slam is simply breathtaking, but it's gotten lost in the magnitude of his subsequent remarks.

Good grief, how I despise this man.

I'm with you.

Could you imagine the outcry and outrage if during a discussion of healthcare, Bush commented about the high costs of the "obesity epidemic" and mentioned Edwards' wife's' obvious problem in that area?

Class versus cRass.

The thing that got me the most was his saying she was living what she was born as.

That clearly shows his view that people are born homosexual which is based on false science.

So he was putting his opinion in her mouth.

For all we know she knows it is a choice.

It's none of our business.

He could have mentioned Barney Frank or even his close relationship with his running partner Edwards.

Yea I know, a cheap shot but what two men hug each other that much???

Your post expresses my thoughts exactly.

The thing about Kerry's comment concerning Mary Cheney that I found most offensive was the unstated implication that those who support President Bush's re-election would, because we are all a bunch of homophobic knuckle-draggers, suddenly stop supporting the Bush/Cheney ticket if we were to discover that VP Cheney had a lesbian daughter.

It's Kerry's air of smug moral superiority that reminded me why I dislike him -- and all the other Democrats like him -- so very, very much.
